In a recent piece for Unherd, humorously titled 'Oleksiy Arestovych: Zelenskyy’s Challenger', Editor-in-Chief Freddie Sayers conducted an interview with the former advisor to Ukraine's President.

During their conversation, Arestovych shaped a false narrative that prominent figures like Elon Musk’s tech entrepreneur friend David Sacks helped spread out to their vast audience, most of whom have already made up their mind about Ukraine before this, but can now feel ever more justified in their belief.

Such an illusion was accomplished by presenting the negotiation process at the onset of the war in Istanbul as being something that would have guaranteed peace, if not for President Zelensky or the Western puppeteers pulling Zelensky’s strings of course.

Even when bringing up the Bucha massacre as a possible reason for withdrawing from any such peace talks, Arestovych framed the negotiations themselves as so successful, they warranted popping open a bottle of champagne. This, in turn, has the effect of making Russia look like a reasonable world actor for a war-fatigued contrarian Western audience.

What the con artist Oleksiy Arestovych does not want gullible Westerners to know, however, is that he was falling out of his chair laughing at the Russian delegation's condition of only 45,000 maximum armed forces for Peacetime. 

The second clip subtitled above was from Mark Feygin’s show with Arestovych seven months ago and highlights how much can be kept hidden due to the language barrier as well as the cultural barriers of our various social circles.

Further on in the Unherd video, Arestovych makes the unsubstantiated claim that while the (unmentioned amount) of troops was undecided, Zelensky said he would decide this question with Putin himself.

In truth, this “90% ready” negotiation did not see the Russians budging an inch away from their demands: Ukrainian neutrality in addition to what amounts to virtually no armed forces. In such a scenario, they could only put their faith in a Russia that promises to not invade their now defenseless country further than it already has.

Stating the obvious, Russia's former president and prime minister, Dimitri Medvedev said this past week, that there will "always" be a chance for another conflict between his country and Ukraine after the current war ends.

Who is Arestovych?

What ends up happening is that frauds like Arestovych can freely present themselves to the West as "Zelensky's Challenger" while back in Ukraine, he is well known as just an actor (with some military service) that Zelesnky hired to give the Ukrainians good pep talks towards the start of the war. 

While serving his purpose at least in that regard, Arestovych is also well known to be a compulsive liar & charlatan who has made such claims as that women are in a pact with Satan and has performed exorcisms on dying children. 

His only legitimacy was being privy to secret information about the war due to being in Zelensky's inner circle, but since parting ways, all these privileges have (obviously) been revoked, so anything he says about Ukraine after leaving would be something he'd know about as well as you or me. 

Besides, any talk of "challenger" can be dismissed when seeing his level of popularity. A recent poll of 2000 people in Nov 2023 by the sociological Rating Company showed that 77% of the Ukrainian people do not trust Arestovych VS 11% trust, while 25% do not trust Zelensky VS 72% trust (and 39% deeply trust).

As an (important) aside, the winner of the poll in terms of trust is Valery Zaluzhny, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. While not a politician, Zaluzhny has been adamant about getting more weapons for Ukraine (which the Western media somehow inverted into him being critical of Zelensky). 

Where Zaluzhny HAS been critical was in regards to the West preventing him from bombing Russian targets with their weaponry for fear of Ukraine "escalating" the war by actually winning. 

But even more important here is that we get a feel for who the people of Ukraine support and what their positions are, since this is very much out of step with the false impression we get here in contrarian Western online circles.

Political Persecution & Exorcism

As far as these tales of "criminal investigations" against him, and how he's this poor victim of persecution, Arestovych is once again spinning a false narrative to Westerners who have zero context to question what he is saying, nor having any idea of just what kind of person he really is.

In Ukraine, there's been a rich history of people fighting miniature wars with lawsuits & calling for all sorts of investigations after getting pissed off at each other.

Such is the case with this call for criminal investigations due to the nature of Arestovych's lectures allegedly advocating violence against women, but in the greater context these kinds of lawsuits are a dime a dozen and usually come to nothing... one can say it's the Ukrainian national pastime. 

What is unfortunate is that Unherd completely missed the opportunity to present their viewers with what kinds of things Arestovych claims to believe.

The aforementioned legal action had to do with a series of paid lectures where Arestovych claimed that women serve Satan.

This is not a one-off either, as he has spoken about these "Women Satan Alliance" views on other shows. What is even more disturbing is that this is someone who has claimed to have performed exorcisms on children right before they die (albeit without the supposed demons), referring to the first child as his "first patient". 

Regarding the image many contrarian Westerners have of Ukraine as being "just as bad as Russia" when it comes to censorship, Arestovych is free to speak his nonsense in Ukraine on any show he wants to such as that of Ukrainian broadcaster Vasyli Golovanov or Yevgeny Kiselyov where he still makes regular appearances. 

Nobody's arrested Golovanov nor any of the other people who regularly speak with Arestovych. Neither has there been any legal document calling for Arestovych's arrest, regardless of him throwing out some random number of "29 members of Parliament" out to get him.

Weaponizing Western Contrarianism

To sum things up, there is video evidence that Arestovych withheld key information about Russia's unbelievable demands to shrink down Ukraine's Army in  "peacetime" for Western audiences. 

This, coupled with his history of being a con-man appealing to superstition and having abysmal trust within Ukrainian society should be a wake up call especially to members of the press who are clearly aware of our problems here in the West. 

Unlike many within the establishment press who jump on "The Current Thing", outlets like Unherd make room for heterodox views.

Elon Musk freeing up of once censored accounts likewise contributes to the marketplace of ideas. 

But as I've pointed out many times on Break The Rules, being contrarian to every position of the establishment is something that Russia has used to its advantage, so as to associate supporting Ukraine with supporting all the things going wrong with the West.

Thankfully, there are new leaders who break this mold like President Javier Milei of Argentina, or Georgia Melony of Italy, Andrzej Duda of Poland, and Petr Pavel Czech Republic, but the damage has been done.

Those who are so right about some of our internal problems have been misled by shysters like Arestovych as there are few people within their social circles who would question what he has to say. 

Even more troubling is how our content driven algorithm  disincentivizes most online political influencers from considering they've been misled, as doing so makes you no money nor increases your followers. 

This is to say nothing of people who have a monetary incentive in Russia winning all the way to those who would get paid by the Russian government directly to influence clueless podcasters into adopting their point of view.

There has already been much talk about these Istanbul negotiations with the contrarian hivemind framing what occurred as: Evil Western powers making Ukraine keep fighting Russia, even though they were ready to make peace.

But those who want to keep making money above anything else will keep appealing to their audience without a thought given to how wrong they are. 

For the people reading this who understand what's at stake, however, there has never been a time like now when we can get in touch with the people engaged in this information war.

It's quite likely that most of these influencers contend with "current thing" zombies or their "anti current thing" fans as opposed to those who can actually have a thorough breakdown of the problems and how to solve them. 

Time for a change. 

There is a culture clash in Europe as a result of leftist policies from an elite that’s out of touch with the people. 

This can be recently seen in Ireland where those ultimately protesting and rioting against the cultural incompatibility of certain migrants mainly from the recent stabbings of children by an Algerian man have been labeled as “far right”. Such designation includes the fiery statements of MMA star Conor McGregor who wrote in a since deleted tweet:

“We are not losing any more of our women and children to sick and twisted people who should not even be in Ireland in the first place”

At this point, you either agree with this assessment or you don’t, but just because you recognize the problem doesn’t mean you won’t fall for the ultimate trap when trying to solve it and inevitably end up destroying the thing you were trying to preserve in the first place.

And out of the people set on solving the problem of globalistic leftism, the one told to run for President by the spirit of his deceased dog is one of the few populist leaders to notice this trap for what it is.

Of course this refers to the new president of Argentina, Javier Milei. Unlike Donald Trump’s MAGA base and discount Trumps like the newly victorious Dutch politician Geert Wilders, Milei recognizes that the enemy of his enemy is not his friend. 

In what has become the common thought process, allowance for these leftist policies on migration and crime within the Western establishment creates a false dialectic in the minds of contrarian dissidents. If the Western co-called liberal leaders are to blame, then their Eastern enemies are right. At the least, any finger pointing by the establishment against countries like Russia is nothing but an excuse for the expansion of the military industrial complex. 

So while Milei’s libertarian government-slashing policies are yet to be tested, his alignment with the Western sphere of influence despite its problems at least shows that this is not someone who mindlessly parrots “muh NATO bad” but sees the larger picture of which society aligns closer to his libertarian vision.  

But which way shall the future king of Ireland Conor McGregor go?

Pro-Israel Anti-Ukraine Populism

The potential countries and their political systems for King McGregor and his Irish subjects to emulate once he takes power require a closer look.

Starting with the United States, the MAGA wing of its Republican Party is:

• Pro Israel

• Anti China

• Anti Supporting Ukraine

• Anti NATO

• Anti mass migration

• Anti leftist ideology

• Pro Law Enforcement 

These positions are echoed as well by populist leaders in Europe such as the newly elected Dutch Prime Minister Geert Wilders and Hungary’s Victor Orban. 

Regarding Israel, Wilders sees it as “the West's first line of defense against Islam” and Hungary’s had good relations with Israel as well, while banning rallies which support terrorist organizations like Hamas. America’s longtime support for Israel goes without saying.

And despite further right and further left anti-Semitic elements present within all three nations to certain degrees, there is a clear understanding by those currently in power of Israel representing Western interests in the Middle East. Such interests in the broader sense imply not just higher standards of civilization but how much power rival interests like China and the oil rich Middle Eastern nations can wield over your society if left unchecked.

Unfortunately, many of these same people do not see the expansionist Russia as a threat capable of lording over the West in this way. Even though there is concern about Chinese and Middle Eastern influence, the idea of more direct control strikes many of our liberal democracies as too distant.

Yet, to illustrate the worst case scenario, imagine China and Russia buying up all the US and EU politicians so they turn the West into a third world totalitarian social credit police state. And that’s just the parts of our planet not directly controlled by the China-Russia axis whose economic and military domination ensures submission from the rest.

With a nuked up Russia financially backed by China (with far less nukes) that the MAGA people rightfully oppose, there’s an incentive for the Chinese communist government to outgrow its current dependence on selling cheap products to the West and start leveraging its technological advancements and financial resources to crafting a new world order of its own.

This vision of a global governance structure heavily influenced by Beijing, could see Russia emerging as a key enforcer, especially in the European region. The end goal of which would be the establishment of a new geopolitical landscape where European nations find themselves increasingly within the sphere of influence of this Sino-Russian axis.

So if we don’t like the cozy relationship between California governor Gavin Newsome and Winnie the Pooh Jinping, how much more leverage should be given to this rival power through their vodka drinking enforcer on the world stage till every district of the US has a Gavin Newsome in charge?

Proof that Russia wants to go beyond Ukraine

Now some may be thinking: “Hold on Lev, you NATO military industrial complex bootlicker, the West is already controlled by these Globalist traitors beholden to China but now we’re finally seeing pushback from these based nationalistic leaders.”

Yet this so-called pushback allows for a Chinese-empowered Russia to rest up and regroup so as to advance well beyond Ukraine into Poland, the Baltics, and further on into Europe. 

Countries bordering Russia like Finland have already been preparing their defenses while America’s isolationist MAGA faction and its European counterparts dismiss President Vladimir Putin’s intent of restoring the borders of not just the old USSR, but the Russian Empire which was at its geographical peak during the reign of its last Tsar, Nicholas II.  

In one such example, Putin said that Poland must be “reminded” that its western territories were a “gift from Stalin” in reference to his claim that Poland wants to take Ukrainian territory. According to one of his closest former advisers, Andrej Illarionov, Putin sees the granting of independence to Finland in 1917 as an act of “treason against national interests” and that “Putin’s view is that he protects what belongs to him and his predecessors,”

Former Russian PM Dmitry Medvedev has claimed that the Baltic countries also belong to Russia, as well as referring to Poland being "temporarily occupied", alluding to NATO presence inside the country. And Russian Colonel-General Andrey Mordvichev also confirmed such ambitions in an interview, stating that: “This war will last for a long time, because we still need to liberate Eastern Europe.”

Such predictions of Russia’s further expansionist goals can be seen in its propagandistic news programs, whose program directors are given direct instructions by Putin’s First Deputy Chief of Staff, Alexei Gromov, whose most important job is to make Putin happy. As outlined in the Organized Crime and Corruption Reporting Project:

“The heads of television channels attend weekly m eetings at Gromov’s office at the presidential administration building in Moscow, where they are told what must be broadcast and what is forbidden.

Gromov’s sessions bring together the heads of all Russia’s major public and private TV companies — Channel One, VGTRK, NTV, TVC, REN TV, and Channel Five — plus representatives of key government agencies, including the office of the president, the government, and the parliament. A Kremlin official responsible for election campaigns also participates, along with foreign ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova.

A few regular attendees of these meetings told The Project how they work.

Gromov outlines the president’s schedule and gives direct orders about how to cover his appearances and what exactly should be shown or said in news reports.”

As a result, these talking head propagandists have been saying the things that Putin most wants to hear, and this in turn influences his action in a closed loop of madness.

One Russian propagandist named Sergey Mardan corrected the mistaken notion that Putin wants to restore the USSR and instead claimed that what’s really being restored is the Russian Empire. Such is the real meaning behind the September 30 "Day of Unification," which marks the illegal annexation of the Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson and Zaporizhzhia regions of Ukraine.

Another notorious Kremlin propagandist, Vladimir Solovyov, claimed that Moscow's “less cultured” European neighbors wish to "rejoin the Russian empire."

And there is no reason to suspect such an imperial expansion to end even there as history shows us that these powers will keep expanding until they are stopped.

As bizarre as it may appear at first, Channel 5 propagandist presenter Nika Strizhak showcased a segment which she introduced by talking about how Russia should hold a Victory Day Parade to commemorate the Soviet Union’s defeating the Nazis in London or Berlin. The animated segment itself first shows the Russian army advancing from Moscow into Warsaw as well as Berlin and the Baltic countries. But the latter part aims even higher so as to “plan much in advance” for an invasion of England and the USA.

But lest one think that Nika’s Kremlin crafted speech about a European and US invasion is not convincing enough, here’s a concept video that Vladimir Putin himself presented of a nuke hitting Florida:

For those MAGA people dismissing such Russian expansion because countries like Finland and Poland are parts of NATO, it would be good to recall how the Munich Agreement of 1938, often cited as a classic example of failed appeasement, allowed Nazi Germany to annex parts of Czechoslovakia under the guise of promoting peace. This was the famous “Peace for our time”  declaration made by British Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain towards a West which was extremely reluctant to repeat World War I over again.

Hitler justified expanding into Czechoslovakia's Sudetenland by claiming to protect ethnic Germans, similar to Putin's pretext of safeguarding ethnic Russians in Ukraine. However, Germany's claims of ethnic persecution may have been more legitimate. Before the 2014 annexation of Crimea by Russia, ethnic Russians and Ukrainians coexisted peacefully in the invaded regions, but Putin’s annexation introduced Russian interference in the form of saboteurs which gullible western journalists mistook for ethnic Russians fighting against “Ukrainian tyranny”. 

Even more important in this context, however, was how willing the West was to appease Hitler, somehow thinking he would not go beyond the land already acquired. This is similar to the way that some Western leaders assume Putin won’t go beyond Ukraine.

They believed, or hoped, that Hitler’s territorial demands could be satisfied through diplomacy and concessions. This misjudgment was partly due to a lack of understanding of Nazi ideology and Hitler's explicit goals outlined in "Mein Kampf." In a similar way, Putin’s aforementioned ambitions have been on display for the whole world to see, yet leaders like Orban and Wilders, as well as the not-yet-in-power populist contenders throughout Europe, express no such concern over the Russia-China axis with ambitions to destroy the West.

Trump and MAGA on Ukraine

As far as Trump and the MAGA faction goes, the latter has been unquestionably isolationist, while The Donald himself presents an ambiguous and often contradictory stance.

On one hand, Trump expressed a desire for better relations with Russia and praised Putin's leadership on several occasions, as well as stating that Ukraine “could have given up Crimea” since he believes that “Putin wanted to make a deal.”

On the other hand, Trump’s administration implemented policies that were at times tough on Russia, including sanctions and opposition to Russian actions in Syria and Venezuela, plus withdrawing from the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces Treaty on account of Russia violating it for a long time.

This Hawkish approach to Russia, however, may have been due to people surrounding Trump at the time like former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and National Security Advisor John Bolton, during whose time in office the Nuclear Forces Treaty was withdrawn from. Bolton's 17 month tenure was marked by his strong and often controversial positions on various international issues, which frequently put him at odds with Trump's more isolationist and negotiation-focused approach.

And with the MAGA wing voting against further support for Ukraine, it’s likely that Trump will keep following suit, ignoring Russia’s encroachment into Europe while going all in on domestic policy. 

So what is likely to follow with populist victories in the West is a retreat away from the Russia problem until it gets too big to ignore. Whether “too big” means a NATO intervention in Poland and the Baltic countries or a European war ignored by the newly isolationist US is anybody’s guess. What is clear regardless is that if Russia is allowed to regroup and eventually annex Ukraine, the price in both money and lives will be far greater once the China supported Putin sets his eyes on the next prize. 

To the MAGA people and other Western populists, you rightfully criticize our domestic problems but are extremely short sighted when it comes to foreign policy.  

Are you willing to bet that Russia’s ambition will be satiated with the portion of Ukraine it already has despite Putin himself stating the contrary? If not, is there a conscious choice on your part to overlook Russia’s expansion in the face of Western isolationism simply for short term political gain?

Given the aforementioned power of a Russia-China alliance on the world stage, focusing on the very real domestic problems while ignoring these external realities means that most of these populist politicians are scooping water out of a sinking boat without fixing the hole at the bottom. 

And yes, it is disappointing that those who propose fixing the hole end up being the same factions which offer lip service to the far left as in the case of the Biden Administration. But there are signs of populist political “unicorns” who can see the larger picture as well.

Pro-Israel Pro-Ukraine Populists

One such Unicorn has been the Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni who has been against Putin’s war from day one, all the while pressing forward with plans to deter migrants through extending their detention up to 18 months in newly built centers. Her government has also started working with Albania across the sea to hold migrants for processing with repatriation for those who do not meet the criteria of refugees. 

Joining Meloni in this very exclusive unicorn pasture is the new Anarcho-Capitalist Prime Minister of Argentina, Javier Milei. One would imagine Milei in the company of other Non Aggression Principle respecters like Ron and Rand Paul, but his Pro-Israel Pro-Ukraine foreign policy alignment makes for a square peg in the round hole. 

In libertarian philosophy, the Non-Aggression Principle (NAP) is a core tenet which essentially states that aggression, usually defined as initiating or threatening any forceful interference with an individual or their property, is inherently wrong. In other words, it posits that individuals have the right to do anything they wish as long as they do not infringe upon others' rights.

This being noted, let us turn to Milei’s statement after Russia’s invasion in February of 2022:

“I brought the flag of Ukraine because if we defend the ideas of freedom, we cannot support and accept Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. The position of the government is weak, it is the position of an accomplice of the worst dictatorships on earth, autocrats.”

It is indeed hard to maintain the non aggression principle so as to satisfy the requirements of organizations like the Ron Paul Institute for Peace and Prosperity when Russia’s main principle is that of aggression against the West as a whole, but thankfully Milei was smart enough to catch on to this early.

Russia had already violated the 1994 Budapest Memorandum on Security Assurances signed by the US and UK as well, many times over. Under this treaty, Ukraine gave up its Nuclear arsenal in exchange for assurances against threats or use of force against its territorial integrity or political independence. Yet being blinded by the “Great Satan'' of US hegemony, many staunch libertarians and anarcho capitalists treat Russia like Pit Mommies treat their flower-crowned angels whose NAP gets violated by some statist infant. 

Surely Russia can be reasoned with, and they’ll keep their promise this time, right? 

Milei hit the nail on the head when declaring in an interview that “You can’t give these shit leftards an inch! You can't negotiate with leftards. You don't negotiate with trash because they'll end you.” More importantly, when asked to clarify who he defines as such, Milei responded by saying: “all kinds of collectivists”. 

Such a description would fit in well with Russia’s top down oligarchy keeping collective control over their populace with their digital draft registry and prison time for online government criticism. Likewise, Russia’s been exporting far left activism and other such chaos into the West despite the mistaken belief of Putin only targeting the far right as allies. 

Russia and the Far Left

Those on the right who naively see Putin as an ally will only realize when it's too late how much of a role he’s played with the empowerment of far left causes as well as migratory culture clash, if they ever realize it to begin with. 

Examples of such can be seen with politicians like Germany’s leftist “Die Linke” party member Andrej Hunko who met with right-wing terrorist leader Aleksandr Zakharchenko of the Russia-backed "Donetsk People's Republic" in 2015. The purpose of this delegation was to deliver so-called "humanitarian help" to a group accused of multiple war crimes like targeting civilians, execution and mistreatment of prisoners of war, as well as abduction and forced labor.

On top of this, Zakharchenko declared that Ukraine was run by "miserable Jews" which had no deterrence on the German leftist delegation meeting with him either. At the same time, however, Hunko has been a long time advocate for a softening policy towards mass migration into the EU, complaining about “racist crackdowns” in Greece at the behest of Germany, leading to “fewer refugees (being) allowed to enter the Schengen area.” 

Those countries with a hard anti-Russia stance had to deal with the weaponization of migrants against them as well. One example is the aforementioned Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni who has been facing a notable increase in migrants which the Italian government blamed on Russia’s now Prigozhin-less Wagner mercenary group with deep connections in Africa.

Same can be seen with hundreds of bicycling migrants from the Middle East and Africa appearing on Finland’s Russian border as retribution for Finland recently joining NATO. These “hybrid attacks” have prompted Estonia to close its borders as well. 

And of course, the long time “Russophobe” nation of Poland has identified Russia along with its stooge Belarus in orchestrating another migration influx into the European Union via the Polish border in order to destabilize the region.

This has been going on for a while now since Russia has played a big role in the migration of Syrian refugees into Europe due to leveling whole cities and towns through their “Grozny” model used in their war against Chechnyan independence. And despite being seen by those critical of the Military Industrial Complex as a war hawk who didn’t care about West’s cultural makeup so long as money was made, US Senator John McCain spoke out against the migrant crisis which he blamed on Putin.

Of Russia’s strategy, Senator McCain said that it was:

“to exacerbate the refugee crisis and use it as a weapon to divide the transatlantic alliance and undermine the European project.”

This example of Syria is especially important for those who only look at the West as agents of destabilization in the Middle East, rather than seeing the bigger picture in terms of the direct threats we face. 

Irish Independence

This brings us back to the choices ahead for Ireland on the heels of a growing public discontent with their own establishment. 

Rather than addressing the growing sense of cultural incompatibility, “hate speech” laws will be doubled down on in response to protests and riots incited by the recent stabbing of children at the hands of an Algerian immigrant. 

Adding on to this is a newly proposed act which gives migrant activist organizations a role in policing the Irish people, including in what they’re allowed to say.

Such animosity in the Emerald Isle has been brewing for a while now but whose origin can be found in a policy which allowed for unprecedented levels of migration from cultures completely incompatible with the West.

Irish families have been kicked out of their homes, while at the same time, mostly third World fighting-age men have been pouring in to the point of housing over capacity. As an example of the numbers, men comprised 68% of total refugee applicants for Ireland in 2022 with 32% being women and 18% children. 

This policy itself originated in 2011 with Alan Shatter, Ireland’s Minister of Justice and Equality at the time, who instituted major “reform” to Ireland's citizenship laws. While being someone who is a proud Zionist, it is unfortunate that Shatter has been so idiotically misguided in not seeing how radicalized Muslims regard Israel being applied to their resentment for the West in general. 

In response to these problems, propositions from right leaning Neizchian Irishman and Break The Rules regular Uberboyo so as to address the current situation go as follows:

• REFORM THE 2011 MIGRATION ACT (Shatter’s immigration reforms)

• REPATRIATION IN ALIGNMENT WITH SWEDEN

• CLOSE IRISH PROPERTY TO FOREIGN INVESTORS

• SHUTDOWN NGOs OPERATING IN THE COUNTRY

• REFORM THE WELFARE STATE

These are all reasonable policies which can be seen as a mix of Milei and Meloni. Yet at the same time, Ireland’s populist consensus differs from not just those aforementioned unicorns but also from the views of Orban, Wilders, and Trump in traditionally being pro-Palestine and anti-Israel. 

Seeing their struggle as somehow the same, Ireland was helped by the Soviet Union just as they had helped create the Palestinian cause in their fight against the West. And today, the same USSR called the Russian Federation empowers far left activists who lobby on behalf of uncontrolled migration into Europe, something which the spineless mainstream Irish politicians are only too happy to perpetuate. 

The problem for those with a strong spine like Conor McGregor, however, is that in standing up against the aforementioned cultural incompatibilities, it's easy to (rightfully) blame what you are most familiar with while remaining oblivious to what you are not. What McGregor is familiar with are the local Irish politicians while his closest Russian experience was fighting Khabib Nurmagomedov, so it would not be out of the question for the Russian government to use the current culture clash in Ireland for some divide and conquer tactics.

In this case, what could be better for Russia than old prejudices being reignited so as to give an equal amount of animosity towards Israel? Given Russia’s embrace of senior Hamas officials, such would only be par for the course.

That it was the unabashed Irish Anti-Semite Keith Woods whose post on X regarding Ireland was shared by McGregor points to which direction this can possibly go, and needlessly so as well. Being that Ireland’s political mainstream have shown solidarity with Ukraine is yet another sign that McGregor’s future Gaelic kingdom may succumb to reactionary contrarianism so as to be yet one more country without a single care as to what the Russia-China axis does in Europe and beyond. 

But as was mentioned earlier, one starts to care when they’re the ones on the chopping block, which is why an alliance of Western interests which also reject the current trend of mindless progressivism is of the most importance today.

For Ireland and other nations going through the same problems as well as for individuals all around the world, it becomes a question of gaining independence from the kind of collectivist groupthink that ultimately dooms one to repeat historical mistakes. In the case of Hungary, Orban’s government is dependent on Russian fuel to keep their economy afloat.

In the case of Donald Trump, he ultimately depends on having a large support base, most of whom have no desire to focus on any problems other than the ones right in front of them. This is not at all meant to cast blame on people for their immediate needs when it comes to domestic US problems, but a recognition that such “people power” ends up overlooking crucial issues.

In the same way, content creators and news pundits who tow the party line are dependent on the algorithm to engage with people who already agree with most of what is said. In such an environment, it becomes difficult to adopt any heterodox view contrary to the in-group, even if it's the right one.

And ultimately, this is why my show Break The Rules was created. So that at least among those disseminating content online who come on the stream, we can cross through the algorithmically habitual divides in order to get at a semblance of truth. 

As far as whether Ireland’s populist fate is sealed with a MAGA-like isolationism without the Israel support or if it adopts a critical view of Russia while befriending Israel a la Milei, it is too early to tell. Most important, however, is that the Irish people feel represented, and this would include the Brazilian man who stopped the aforementioned Algerian stabber as this man deserves to be an honorary Irishman for such a heroic act.

Those who honor and defend the place they call home and integrate into its culture have no reason not to be considered citizens, while those who have no such desire may find other places more culturally suited to their inner world.

Simple as. 

So with that said, wishing Ireland, Argentina, the United States, and all other nations striving for high-trust independence, great success in achieving this reality. But we will only achieve this so long as we open ourselves up to what we do not yet know as well as what we do know.

As Aristotle wrote in Nicomachean Ethics:

“Now the mass of mankind are evidently quite slavish in their tastes, preferring a life suitable to beasts, but they get some ground for their view from the fact that many of those in high places share the tastes of Sardanapallus."

Historical accuracy aside, Aristotle referred to Sardanapallus as the last king of Assyria so as to show an example of decadence from above reflected in the masses below. Such decadence in his case meant the end of the Assyrian Empire, though it can apply to any collective failure such as the virtual lobotomy received from livestreamers like Hasan Piker.

Regrettably, Piker’s dominion as the king of Twitch politics casts a vast ideological net over 2.5 million minds worldwide, rather than reigning over a contained geographic kingdom. Were Sardanapallus a real king, he would have surely applauded Piker for an empire rivaling his own, as well as enjoying luxury cars and extravagent houses while extolling the virtues of socialism to his cheering subjects. 

To be clear, this ostentatiousness would not be considered hypocrisy to Communist dictators whose propaganda Hasan regurgitates, since what unites all tyrants is having unchecked top-down power over a populace only too willing to submit. On the other hand, great historical figures from the Islamic world who value freedom and creativity would not be too happy with the kind of thuggery Piker excuses on behalf of Hamas and its supporters. 

Examples of such can be seen in the recent murder of a 69 year old Jewish man named Paul Kessler in what was alleged by a witness to have been a confrontation with "extremely aggressive" pro-Palestinian protesters, some of whom kept chanting while the blood was still fresh.

The allowance for such violence goes hand in hand with blind submission to ideological tyrants in the age of social media, and this has empowered the new destructive super-religion of various often incompatible faiths clad in the armor of social justice. 

But with recent events showing the ugliness beneath this armor to all but the most deluded among us, are things finally about to change?

The Sultan’s Decadent Court 

Born in New Jersey, Piker was raised as Muslim in Istanbul before returning back to the US and eventually taking a job for the progressive online show “The Young Turks” headed up by his uncle, Cenk Uygur. And while not practicing himself, Piker has been a strong advocate for Muslim rights despite the religion’s traditional stance on alternative lifestyles which he also advocates for. 

This intersection of social justice leftism and Islam in Piker’s identity makes him a perfect representation of what’s been happening all over the West since Israel’s war against Hamas (and other Palestinian terror groups) began from October 7th, but such a connection should not be seen as an outlier or merely an alliance of convenience.

Historically, the two were linked as soon as Israel fell out with the Soviet Union in favor of the West, as this resulted in the USSR virtually creating the Palestinian cause and uniting the Muslim countries against this new (or very old depending on how you see it) nation. Since then, leaders like Yasser Arafat were puppets of the Soviet regime, and useful idiots jumping up and down to “Free Palestine” were handsomely supported through Soviet bankrolling. 

But is there something even deeper connecting leftist thought with jihadist terror which made such gullible fools jump up and down in the first place?

In reality, calls for a global caliphate from radical Islamic preachers and of worldwide Communism from leftist goofballs is the same thing, which can be summed up as societal entropy. And in this entropic state, the Hasan Pikers of the world naturally rise to the top; not because of some exceptional charisma but from resonating with our lowest, most decadent qualities (in the true sense of “decay”).

One such example of this quality has to do with the majority of young people drifting towards childish explanations of reality from influencers like Piker. This reinforces what they already believe thanks to group-think in their schools and China owned Tik Tok promoting the same kind of mind sludge. 

Nobody will ever feel intimidated by those pesky demons of nuance and reason when watching Piker’s streams, and this is not from any censorship but due to his millions of viewers seamlessly gravitating into the orbit of least intellectual resistance. Hasan’s statements such as that America “Deserved 9/11” are par for the course but likewise reveal another sign of decadence being of a more malevolent nature.

Virtue Signaling and Jealousy

Pairing up with the Law of Decadent Attraction is the inflating of one's ego through virtue signaling for those seen as oppressed, alongside the submission to, and dread of, brute, merciless power wielded by the same individuals.

In excusing Hamas’s recent slaughtering of Israelis on October 7th due to blaming Israel’s “apartheid” state similarly to blaming America for 9/11, Hasan casts civilized societies (albeit imperfect) as embodiments of repressive evil. On the other hand, truly barbarous and sinister acts are portrayed as the result of repression, therefore seen as a justified revenge.

Looking at the wider scale, such mentality can easily be observed in the coalition of Hamas supporting leftists with radicalized Muslims who have been protesting and rioting the past month against Israel’s incursion into Gaza. Likewise in their self-righteous justification, it’s become commonplace to see the tearing off of posters showing the Israelis held hostage along with the now familiar trope of desecrating historical Western statues.  

But contrary to the expectations of both this coalition and the Neo-Nazis, these statues, much like Israel, symbolize an ascension above the ordinary and trivial expectations of the uncivilized masses, heralding a state of greatness.

Such can be seen in the Western world’s emancipation of slavery long before any other societies had done so, born out of a growing sense of injustice while having enough curiosity to innovate so as to render these inhuman practices obsolete.

Likewise, Israel stands out among its oil-gorged Middle Eastern neighbors in allowing for freedoms of alternative lifestyles that Hasan Piker claims to champion the causes of, while at the same time sharing in this Western drive for innovation that turns deserts into gardens. 

Yet, none of the above would be possible without the leadership of great, if not always good, people. Many such leaders and innovators were products of their time of course, but ultimately it’s the quality of greatness itself that’s an insult to those wanting to tear the statues down and give the secular innovative Israel over to Palestine.

In short, all such arguments about “systematic oppression” are mere distractions from the main point: those who align themselves with the spirit of decadence and egalitarian entropy take personal offense to anyone who dares crawl up from under the muck so as to stand out in some way from the rest. 

“How is it fair that they succeed while we fail?” The blame is never on themselves, but on the ever-present systematic “oppressor”. Just as the Charlottesville Tiki torch brigade rallied against Jews replacing them and their Nazi forbearers persecuted this same group in the Holocaust, the price of success for any out-group is jealousy at best and systematic execution at worst. Save for the Nazis’ Odinistic re-awakening of this dormant savagery, however, the West in general was heading into a direction of judging by content of character. Over time, this resulted in the assimilation of a great number of Jews and other minorities who desired nothing more than to follow in the path of Western exceptionalism, but somewhere along the way, this “content of character” aspect was dropped in favor of fear masquerading as tolerance.

Fear and Submission 

This brings us to the progressives’ recognition of brute power and terror present in this entropic alliance. With his tall muscular physique, our old friend Hasan Piker is a decent symbolic stand-in for the macho big brother who is both a “culturally Muslim” victim while at the same time a force to be feared due to being associated with this same religion. 

In this sense, there is a true Islamophobia from those who dare not address the growing cultural clash in the West both out of a fear of being labeled a bigot, as well retribution from the members of said religion themselves. Discounting those still under the impression that the radicalized mobs calling for a global caliphate are victims, the overall picture is one of submission by those who are afraid towards those who they fear. 

Yet, today’s uncompromising militant jihadist movement is a far cry from the Islamic kingdoms of the Ottoman Sultan Mehmed II or the Mughal Empire’s Akbar the Great as being ones of religious tolerance and artistic patronage. Nor would this movement deserve any place next to the spiritually transcendent poetry of the Muslim Persian poets Hafez and Rumi. The same distinction should be given to all the Muslims sharing these aforementioned principles who desire peace and rebuke Hamas for its barbarism, as such people should be considered brothers and sisters of our common humanity. 

But as for those who openly praise terror organizations and proudly wear antisemitism on their sleeves, they are de facto enemy combatants and will only respect what they fear. So far, our degenerated “tolerance for the intolerant” meant that these groups felt no such fear from the West, and have had plenty of useful idiot leftists to vouch for them instead. Adding to this, the kind of protests we’ve seen across the West with an apparently endless supply of Palestinian flags has the makings of an organized effort on behalf of worldwide radical Islamic organizations. One prominent example of this is The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) with alleged ties to the Muslim Brotherhood. 

Compared to such people, Piker might as well be a gentle lamb. That is, if not for the dehumanizing language he uses against those who criticize him or seen as fair game to insult. His oversized presence within the social media political discourse means that both his leftist and Muslim fans have yet another figure to emulate and help reinforce their sense of righteousness in siding with Hamas. 

What now?

Despite the obvious, it apparently took Youtuber Ethan Klein this long to figure out how brainwashed and anti-Semitic his “Leftovers” co-host’s audience is. With an inflamed Piker who has refused to admit that Israel was not the perpetrator of the recent Hospital bombing, and an audience that sees Klein as “George W. Bush Coded”, it would have taken a simple overview of the 20th Century to see where such a partnership would go. To be fair though, who has time to research such things when you’re running a big time online show with what’s sure to be a dedicated young audience? 

But Klein is not alone in being played for a naïve fool, as the same could be said for the moneyed university donors who have now dropped their support on account of the widespread Jew hate on campus. 

Stirrings of the same can be seen all around the Western world. Countries like France and Germany have been getting serious about deportations while using Israel and antisemitism as justifications to act on their tremendous migrant crisis. This was met by the Neo Nazis with predictable hostility as they’d prefer the Jews to go away as well, but what we are seeing may perhaps be the start of a re-alignment of sorts that rejects the leftists, Islamic extremists, and Neo Nazis. What ends up left is a more enlightened classically liberal society consisting of people who are both free and responsible.

But the only way such a society can be enacted and preserved is if the desire for our elite institutions to set a good example rather than cowering before these aforementioned mobs becomes the norm. And this in turn can only be done once law and order is established that separates those who want to be a part of Western Civilization from those who want to burn it down.

In the case of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, those on the front lines defending their sovereignty know what’s at stake. The same spirit of entropy that festers among Hamas savages and the mindless crowds who worship them, as well as the one echoed by Hasan Piker, is the same one embodying the Russian hordes who rape and pillage. 

If the image portrayed sounds like it belongs in the middle ages rather than 2023, this is the exact intention. From here, our responsibility is to recognize the situation for what it is and join up with people of all colors and creeds who desire to solve this problem for the sake of a better tomorrow. 

Russia’s response on Israel has shown us exactly where it positioned itself in World War III, yet Elon Musk has kept up the same levels of ignorance (intentionally or not) positioning him as the enemy’s perfect propagandistic weapon. Credit should be given to Putin for this judo move using their opponent’s power against themselves, which in this case is the animosity many Westerners have towards their governments from their handling of Covid to dealing with the migrant crisis.

As such, Musk echoes the existing sentiment of rejecting whatever the legacy media aligns itself with, but have recent events contributed to a shift in alliances that will finally show Russia as it really is to such deluded contrarians?

Peace in Our Crimes

According to Musk, we need to sacrifice part of Ukraine's territory in order to avoid a Third World War. From his recent X Space, Musk declared that “We need to figure out peace in Ukraine, and I think we need to restore normal relations with Russia," and that US policy forces Russia to enter into an alliance with Iran and China.

The “forcing”, however, had come about through Russia running out of shells amidst a lack of drones, engineers, and a technical base. So they’ve been purchasing all this from Iran and North Korea with China's permission, being “forced” to do so through Ukraine’s annoying resistance to being conquered. Of course, if the US and the West in general stood back so as to let Putin take Ukraine and whatever else he wants, maybe Russia wouldn’t have been forced to join this axis of evil.

Such dreams of “normal relations with Russia” are backed up by calls for capitulation from Musk’s friend and fellow tech entrepreneur David Sacks against what they see as a militarily superior world power. Nevermind that Musk has strong links to China, or that he’s spoken extensively with Vladimir Putin in private. 

How can we ever doubt this pure red blooded American patriot who only dreams of world peace? Through conceding to the demands of the China/Russia/Iran alliance, such peace is surely assured after all.

It shouldn’t matter that a million people will remain under Russian occupation since if we listen to Elon Musk, these occupied regions really want to be a part of Russia. Nor is there any partisan movement within these border towns, since Musk knows better than the partisans themselves as to whether they exist or not. And when it comes to where such extensive knowledge of geopolitics comes from, it would be quite offensive to assume Musk just copies Kremlin talking points rather than rightfully attributing such insight to his innate sense of genius in engineering.

If Elon Musk lived in the year 1945, he would have said: "No, not only should Germany not be invaded, but we have to stop the war now at the borders of what Germany has captured in order to feel safe. Let it be Germany, don’t you fools understand? Because there's no resistance movement in Auschwitz where people go into the gas chambers voluntarily."

Sometimes it happens that a great engineer and an even better salesman turns out to be completely incompetent as a human being, as someone who should understand what life is and what death is, as well as what freedom (and the lack of it) is.

But even if we were to take any of the moral considerations out in favor of a more “realpolitik” view of the current situation, it would not be for long. Musk’s assumption that, to quote the Stark Trek Borg, “Resistance is Futile” makes sense when seen through the perspective of someone claiming to be moral yet having no problem working close with China while closing his eyes to the atrocities committed by its puppet state of Russia.

Such a person is a mirror image of the “globalists” who would sell their country out for a nickel that Musk claims to oppose. Business is business after all, and an Elon Musk living in a world where China-backed Russia crosses into Europe loses nothing in comparison to the husbands of women and parents of children raped in the Zaporizhzhia Oblast, or the parents of children shot in Kyiv.

Russia’s Allegiance on Display

Meeting with Hamas once again on top of many other telling signs has made it very obvious to those whose neurons are still firing, where exactly Russia stands in this new front of our multi-layered global war.

Last Sunday in Russia’s mostly Muslim Dagestan, a mob of locals scoured the Makhachkala airport in search of Jewish passengers arriving from Israel, with the ensuing chaos resulting in 20 people injured. While pro-Palestinian sentiment has indeed echoed through the Muslim world, its pretty telling that Putin’s government was quick to blame “traitors” in Ukraine for such an act. 

In yesterday’s speech, Putin doubled down on this notion along with the familiar leftist dog whistles:

"The truth is that the stronger Russia is, the more united our society is, the more effectively we will be able to defend both our own national interests and the interest of those peoples who have become victims of Western neo-colonial policies”

But “He who smelt, it dealt it” as the timeless saying goes, and in this case, Russia has had much to gain from orchestrating such an act. 

In general, Dagestan (known for its clever marriage life hacks) has never been a hotbed of antisemitism compared to other Muslim parts of the world, so to have the Dagestani people sitting by the fire one day and wondering why they haven’t caught planes from Tel Aviv yet seems like a stretch. 

While at first it seems strange for Russia to engage in an anti-Semtic false flag which makes Putin’s government look less in control, this lack of control is exactly what they want to inspire in the minds of outsiders. If Russia is seen as the only thing standing in the way of more incidents like this occurring, then its presence on the world stage can be framed as “the devil we know''. 

Even before this airport incident, there have already been concerns about what would happen should Russia’s government be taken out. But how much worse must Russia act in order to do away with such fears? 

In regards to Israel, Russia has not condemned Hamas, and instead called for an end to escalation on both sides while meeting with senior Hamas officials as previously stated.  On top of this, the parties also discussed ways to stop “Israel’s crimes supported by the West.” and after the massacre of October 7th, Hamas officials praised Putin for his “position regarding the ongoing Zionist aggression”.

There comes a point where you don’t need to pretend to be an impartial observer and start making decisive moves in flaunting your alliance, knowing that people like Musk will still protect you in the eyes of a gullible public. Such is the case with Russia which has increasingly been showing its allegiance to the Muslim world in place of the Western sphere of influence. 

Would public pressure from Musk and other useful idiots and foreign agents be enough to keep the US from intervening too much in this early stage of World War III? Perhaps we will see a US maintaining relative neutrality just like during World War II while the Nazis advanced further into Europe

This was of course until the US had its Pearl Harbor. 

Shift in the Narrative 

The flip-side of Russia going “mask off” in regards to its true alliances is that it will be that much harder to separate Russia from the Axis of Hamas supporting Iran as well as China. The latter has also shown very clearly where it lies when its top influencers describe Israel as “lackeys of colonialism”

Just as in the case of Western leftists and fundamentalist Muslims as well as neo Nazis making it really clear to the liberal fence sitters what they think of Jews as a whole, it will now be much harder for Musk and other appeasers to stick with their Russian diplomacy narrative. In the same way, there have been people deceived into assuming an “out of control” Russia is more dangerous than one strong enough to maintain order in regions such as Dagestan. 

It’s not a question of “if” but of “when” this alliance of the new anti-Western Axis Powers will make itself obvious to all but those lacking a frontal lobe. In the meantime, any propositions of submitting to this alliance’s demands out of fear of their superiority is not just laughable but potentially treasonous. 

Regarding Musk’s and Sacks’ conviction that Ukraine has no chance against such superior powers, President Zelenskyy disagrees for the following reasons:

“For years, Russia's fleet and control over the Black Sea have created the illusion of insurmountable dominance. The relocation of hundreds of thousands of Russians and mass oppression have created an illusion of a subdued Crimea.

Illusions are vanishing now. We make them vanish.

First, Russia’s navy can no longer operate in the western Black Sea and is gradually retreating from Crimea.

Moscow had to announce a new base for its fleet—or rather, its remnants—in the south-east. Away from Ukrainian missiles and sea drones.

But we will get them anywhere.

Second, Russian terrorists no longer have a single safe base or fully protected logistical route in Crimea or the occupied Black and Azov seacoasts. We have not yet established full fire control over all of Crimea and adjacent waters. But we will. This is only a matter of time.

Third, pro-Ukrainian sentiments in Crimea are becoming more outspoken. People there, like those in other occupied areas of Ukraine, understand that Russia will leave. Russia's weakness becomes more audible than the occupied people's fear. We see how many allies we have in Crimea.

Fourth, Ukraine has been able to reestablish the Black Sea as a global food security lifeline. Without Ukrainian agricultural exports, food price crises and social unrest threaten dozens of nations, from Western Africa to Asia.

Fifth, it is about values.

When Russian aggression began in 2014, many were willing to turn a blind eye to the occupation of Crimea, hoping to appease the aggressor. Instead, it has fueled its ambitions and sense of impunity.

We are now gradually dismantling Russia's impunity.”

But just like the leftists, Islamists, and Neo Nazis, we are dealing with an Axis that only understands (and respects) strength. In this regard, Russia has so far looked at the US with little to be afraid of while fearing (and thus respecting) China instead. And in the same way, a man in NY ripping off posters of Israeli children turned into a gentle lamb the moment he was afraid of those men who confronted him about it:

Those who are incapable of understanding morality and mercy understand the use of force very well and any attempts to concede towards their demands will only encourage them to keep going further. And since recent events have made it much clearer where people stand, new alliances can be formed among those who do understand the importance of civilization and the need to protect it from those who only desire to consume and destroy.  

The dividing line between barbarity and civilization has never been more clear for those paying attention. For the first time in a long while, conservatives and liberals have united in their stand against Hamas (along with other Palestinian terror groups) since their bloody invasion into Israel. On the other hand, those who were successful in hiding behind accusations of racism or Islamophobia could no longer hold back how they really felt about Jews and reinforce why a Jewish homeland was needed in the first place.

Somewhere in the middle are people like comedian Dave Chapelle whose heart is in the right place but ignoring the lack of alternatives Israel has short of going after Hamas’s strongholds. Others like Abby Martin in a resurfaced Joe Rogan clip may forget that the only journalism allowed in Gaza is one that shows Hamas in a favorable light, and Rogan parroting Martin’s views on the situation showed himself as gullible on things he’s unfamiliar with like when taking the word of Russian State TV about their organic farming methods. 

But let's take those who are easily duped but otherwise expected to be peaceful aside for a moment…

Islam and Memetic Hiveminds

When all it takes is Hamas lying to the press about a hospital bombing while showing zero proof to activate the antisemitic programming of the mobs into rioting throughout the West, then could we designate every single one programmed to respond in such a manner as unqualified to participate within our society? 

This is not to say that all Muslims are to blame at all, as there have been recorded instances of Muslims helping out Israelis such as in the recent case of a Muslim bus driver who saved 30 people from the Negev rave massacre. But what is interesting to look into is which particular culture many of these Muslims are a part of, as those belonging to the Bedouins do not have this hatred towards Israel and some are even proud members of the IDF, though are under no obligation to join the service.

So rather than thinking exclusively about religion, it’s more productive to think in terms of self-referencing memetic hiveminds each with a specific mythology governing their moral code. When it comes to those who harbor nothing but hate towards Jews, it's important to understand what the specific influences are in terms of figures they look up to (like jihadist preacher Anjem Choudary and Adolf Hitler) and what lessons concerning Israel and the Jews are passed down within their places of religious learning and social circles. 

All this is not to say that there have not been cases of Jews in Israel calling for genocide against the Arabs, but this is where a comparison between the political systems through which such hiveminds flow is warranted.

In the case of religious Jewish extremists or Israeli citizens inflamed by constant acts of war from Gaza, such views have traditionally been kept in check by more moderate voices from within Israel’s political machine. So if we are to judge countries by their actions, Israel’s current military response has been one of advance warning to the Gazans along with evacuation routes, and in the past has included “roof knocking” techniques designed to alert civilians of their building being targeted as a Hamas base of operations.

Add to this that Israel’s Arab population pays 70% less property taxes and as previously mentioned has no obligation to fight in the IDF, so what kind of picture does this paint of the overall policy towards Arabs despite the aforementioned voices calling for vengeance?

It would be extremely difficult to imagine any Muslim (or non-Western) nation providing such amenities to people who were taught from an early age to hate their host nation while leeching off their social services. Not to mention the thought of said host country supplying aid to those whose elected government uses it for waging war (as in the case of Hamas turning water pipes supplied by Israeli aid into rockets).

But then if we are to judge Israel by a higher moral standard compared to the rest of the Middle East, we are silently admitting the most important point: If the “body politic” of Middle Eastern and African Muslim nations operates at a far lower moral standard when fighting their enemies, what does this say about the masses of un-integrated migrants currently living in the West?

To assume their only grievance is with Israel (or only with Jews) is to forget the self-ghettoization and criminality thrusted upon a naïve egotistical Europe through its “refugees welcome” activists. 

Unfortunately such “noble savage” activism mixed with antisemitism is alive and well within the Western left hivemind so it doesn’t matter how much precautions Israel would take in preventing loss of life. They’ll always be seen as the intelligent scheming aggressor by leftist and anti Western media, while the masses who celebrate the death of Jewish civilians are seen as plucky rebels at the peak of our intersectional victimhood hierarchy.

China’s Puppets & Political Division

Geopolitically, we see a similar kind of hivemind barbarism displayed by the Russians in their invasion of Ukraine, while Hamas and other Palestinian terror groups have been funded by The Islamic Republic of Iran. Both Russia and Iran are subservient to China, whose dictatorship has gotten negative responses from both Democrats and Republicans.

So it’s ironic that given their mutual understanding of who the main enemy is, MAGA Republicans differ with the Biden admin in preferring no response to China’s puppet state of Russia invading Ukraine. In this they fail to see the bigger picture. 

While leaving the important “China Puppet Master” or even “Iranian funding” out of his recent address to the nation, President Biden did at least mention the importance of preventing both the Gazan and Russian governments from gaining ground through new funding. Yet support for Israel striking a nerve with far left groups like Black Lives Matter was only a matter of time for those of us not living under a rock, as the same goes for pretty much every far left group which the Democrats have relied on so far as political tools.

But the MAGA right, which sees the illiberal backwardness of social groups like this which support Hamas, closes its eyes to the realization that THIS is what is being fought against both abroad and domestically. A common complaint is that the US does not focus on its own sovereignty and sticks its nose into the business of other countries, but if the US were to isolate itself, it would not be turning away from the territorial squabbling of sovereign Western powers, but from those who have formed a united front of a mutual pact against the West as a whole.

Gods of the Programmed Masses

The last time of such an existential risk to Western order was Nazi Germany and the Soviet Union followed by just the Soviets. So it's interesting that those Third World societies aligned in their hatred of the West were originally empowered by the Soviet Union while today they look up to the late Adolf Hitler and currently living Vladimir Putin.

The Nazis combined atavism with high tech and an inheritance of traditions which foster sharp intellect, but without any trace of humanity in their persecution of Jews, Gypsies, and other groups they labeled as undesirables.

And while the numbers of such acts were committed more by the Nazis, the Soviets were not opposed to instances of their own racial extermination beyond the existing policy of systematic democide against anyone arbitrarily designated as the enemy.

One such instance was when most prominent members of the Jewish Anti-Fascist Committee were given a show trial, tortured, and then killed during the last part of Stalin’s rule. This type of post World War II systematic anti-Semitism remained until the USSR’s collapse. Likewise, there was common everyday anti-Semitism and racism against the “black asses” as Russians called people from the Caucasus and Central Asia.

Yet despite this casual racism, we can find the Soviets’ handiwork in the creation myth of all the Third World “liberation” causes, including the formation of Palestinian identity itself as it was the pet project of the USSR with the goal of destroying the West. 

And sharing in the same antisemitism, many radicalized Muslims look up to Adolf Hitler and his “final solution” while leftists in turn praise the Soviet Union yet retain the same level of hatred for Jews which they see as having the ultimate “White Privilege”.

Unity against the Anti-West

Since around 2015, the designation of “White Privilege” was used by leftist professors and infiltrated many of our institutions shortly after. But what’s become very clear is that the leftists designated “whiteness” as to do with anything civilized, thereby enforcing a harmful racism where non-whites (except for Asian “model minorities") are to be segregated from the standards that are otherwise accessible to all who aspire to them.

At least, that’s the idea in the Western liberal sphere where people are supposed to be judged by the content of their character and not the color of their skin. But it becomes more apparent that while the judging by skin or ethnicity has thankfully lessened among those who are actually liberal (as opposed to leftist), it has not been accompanied by the necessary judgment of character.

That is until now when the Jewish people of various ethnicities and races have exposed what lay beneath the surface but could not be communicated through a needless fear of being perceived as racist. Now countries like France are starting to “take action against foreigners who are legal residents but opposed to the 'values of the Republic'” and Germany is not too far behind. 

This is not to say that such extra-legal scenarios would have no possibility for abuse, but the sheer amount of people who are incompatible with the West through their deeds (as opposed to their genes) has already crossed the threshold of acceptability. Now the sword of Damocles is about to fall right on top of the West internally with a culture clash and externally with the anti-Western powers making their moves.

The only way to remedy this and not fall into fascism or racism is to unite over the values which have made Western society prosperous and desirable regardless of personal origin while excluding those who admittedly hate these values with the same level of intensity. It costs almost nothing to do the former for most people while the latter is avoided like the plague as it costs quite a bit more for nations that embraced learned helplessness.

Likewise, it costs a good part of one’s ego as an “anti war” MAGA isolationist to admit that the head of this radical snake must be chopped off through going after the countries that sponsor the rioting and hatred we’re seeing right now. Specifically these would be Russia, Iran, and later on China (we need time to wean ourselves off their cheap goods).

As a long time supporter of Iranian resistance, Jason Jorjani said on our last stream that Hamas will continue to be a problem for Israel due to being funded by Iran, so the only way to stop Hamas will be to strike at Iran’s government.

According to Dr. Jorjani, this would especially be pertinent given that around one in seven Iranians actually support their regime and would welcome their demise, not to mention being a potentially great ally for Israel and the whole civilized world in the long term. 

But such resolutions require going beyond the state of simply advocating for everyone to “just get along” and understanding that while ideally we would all act as moral rational agents, the liberal West has been a recent historical oddity that our internal and external enemies feel has overstayed its welcome. Should we lose what we have gained in terms of prosperity and tolerance, it will only be due to tolerating those who hate us and want us dead.

This is especially the case with those helping our enemies push their knife further into us out of concern for offending their non-Western sensibilities, but the divide happening right now means we can clearly see those people for what they are as well. 

The great puzzling thing about Hamas’s barbaric attack on Israel has to do with how one of the most advanced intelligence agencies in the history of the world (Mossad) was able to let such a thing occur in the first place. As for reports through the fog of war that “Hamas’s attack on Saturday took Israeli intelligence officials by surprise”, this was the word of an unnamed “official” and is dubious given that even Egyptian Intelligence was warning Jerusalem of an impending attack.

And while conspiracies abound on how Israel secretly wanted this war to happen, there is a far simpler explanation pointing to Putin’s Russia being responsible for the war that’s currently breaking out.

It would not be a coincidence in this case that the day of this ghastly invasion, October 7, was Putin’s birthday. And what a present he got indeed…

With Friends Like These

In this likely scenario of Russian involvement, the lion’s share of blame (and hopefully subsequent arrest) falls on the shoulders of current Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. This is not to say that Netanyahu intentionally looked the other way as many anti-Semites would love to imagine, but that he suffers from the same naivete that George W. Bush did when he looked into Putin’s eyes and got “a sense of his soul.”

For a long time, Israel has been full of Russian expats and with it, an extensive network of Putin’s spies. Numerous Russian oligarchs, including prominent donors to Jewish organizations, philanthropists, and Putin loyalists such as Roman Abramovich and Viatcheslav Moshe Kantor, have made Israel their home. Netanyahu among many others has been influenced by these circles including by Putin himself, given that the two leaders have been longtime friends.

In these circumstances, the only rational explanation of this leadership blunder was Netanyahu’s own irrationality from Putin’s influence leading him to ignore whatever evidence Mossad presented of mounting danger. We don’t know exactly what Putin said to Bibi, but a likely scenario is that he would have dismissed reports of Hamas mounting an attack as a bluffing provocation so as to drag Israel into further conflict. It is likely that Putin promised to take care of the problem himself, like he had previously said to the Armenian leaders who trusted him absolutely for many years.

While such ignorance and blind faith towards someone like Putin seems cartoonish at first, we need only to look at Joseph Stalin’s trust in Hitler not invading Russia back when the two nations had their Molotov–Ribbentrop nonaggression pact at the start of World War II (of course not to compare Bibi to Stalin). This was despite all the intelligence reports Stalin received to the contrary till the very end when he was still in a state of disbelief that Hitler would ever betray him. 

As for other factors which cemented such a relationship that Ukraine president Voldymir Zelensky raised red flags about last November, it relates to Israel’s safety and religious concerns.

In terms of safety, Putin’s friendship means Israeli aircraft would not be damaged by Russian defense systems in Syria, despite Russia’s alliance with the anti-Israel Bashar al-Assad regime. And as far as religious matters go, Netanyahu’s Likud Party has always received strong support from the further orthodox Jews, some of whom benefit from Putin’s support and patronage of the Russian-Jewish diaspora. With signs of anti-semitism ramping up from Putin, rising Muslim demographic trends, as well as prominent Russian Nazi paramilitary groups like Rusich not going away anytime soon, they may have a good reason for wanting the support but it may not last long regardless.

Netanyahu, however, would not even require these justifications to have gotten along swimmingly with Putin till this day. So it’s not the case of Putin buying the Prime Minister’s loyalty; instead, Bibi’s genuine trust might have led to overlooking intelligence on the Hamas strike.

Putin’s Partners in Crime

Beyond its spies and influencers embedded within Israel, Russia has maintained good relationships with Israel’s enemies such as Syria, Lebanon, and of course Iran whose security officials allegedly helped plan this attack in the first place. Even more importantly, Russia has been one of the few non-Muslim (yet) countries including China which has welcomed Hamas’s delegation as guests of honor. 

On top of this, Russia’s been recruiting Palestinians in Lebanese refugee camps to fight for Russia in Ukraine for $350, and the hang gliders employed by Palestinians to soar over the Israeli barrier bear a strong resemblance to the Poisk-06 MSN model that the Russian Guard has utilized since 2015.

But Palestine in general owes much to Russia for its support and perhaps even its identity, going back to the days of the Soviet Union.

Shortly after its founding in 1948, Israel snubbed Stalin’s USSR despite being one of the first countries to recognize its existence, instead showing favor to the West. Partially in response, the USSR started supporting the anti-Israel Arab states as part of its overall Cold War strategy.

According to the highest-ranking defector from the former Eastern Bloc, Ion Mihai Pacepa, the Soviet Union then played a central role in creating and propagating the concept of a distinct "Palestinian People" and in establishing the PLO, framing the Palestinian struggle as a secular nationalist movement rather than a religious jihad.

In terms of popularizing the Palestinian People to the West, Professor Eugene Rostow's 1980 article “‘Palestinian Self-­‐Determination’: Possible Futures for the Unallocated Territories in the Yale Studies on World Public Order.” goes on to say:

“The exploitation of Arab hostility to the Balfour Declaration, the Palestine Mandate, and the existence of Israel has been a major weapon in the Soviet campaign to dominate the Middle East. * * * * The attack on the legitimacy of Israel has been the strongest and most effective tool of Soviet strategy in the Middle East. * * * The anti-Israel card is not the only asset in the Soviet Union's Middle East hand, but among the Middle Eastern masses it has been trumps. * * * After the 1973 War, when there was some danger that Egypt and other countries might make peace with Israel, the Soviet Union invited Arafat to Moscow, supported his appearance before the United Nations in November, 1974, and increased its pressure for General Assembly resolutions supporting claims of self-determination for the Palestinian Arabs and denouncing Zionism as ‘racism’.”

While Russia’s relationship with Israel turned around after the fall of the Soviet Union, it had once again shown active signs of life with Putin’s ascension into power. A geopolitically critical nation like Israel aligned with the West is never a good thing for those like Putin who were taught to hate the West like his KGB predecessors. So it's no small wonder that an alliance among the world’s rogues’ gallery was cemented in order to counteract what have so far been a successful cooperation among Israel, The West, and Islamic nations who were tired of living in the Stone (or Stoning) Age. 

Why Russia Benefits

For Putin’s Russia as was the case for his predecessor of the USSR, an effective way of castrating the West was to distract it with other problems, such as inflaming racial and political tensions in the United States. This was done through funding of radical leftists in the old days and now funding both far left as well as far right, but sparking the powder keg of Israel VS Palestine is as good of a distraction for the West as you can get.

Mainly, the motivation on Russia’s part to sow such chaos in Israel has been the potential for it to grow beyond a war against Hamas and blow up into a regional war that takes America’s attention, time, and money away from helping Ukraine. 

One very important strategy in order to accomplish this goal has been to disrupt the alliances forged by Israel with Islamic nations who were once its enemies. Russia’s U.N. Ambassador Vassily Nebenzia had already criticized Israel’s warming diplomatic relations with Saudi Arabia, which is something that Russia’s ally Iran hopes to see squashed even more so.

After Hamas's provocation, such critics of an Israeli-Middle Eastern alliance hope that Israel's response will encourage Muslim nations to initiate a conflict similar to the 1948 Arab-Israeli War or the 1973 Yom Kippur War. And while the leaders of these nations might care about the Palestinian issue as much as they'd care about their camel's choice of hairdresser, the passionate outcry from their citizens—fueled by the fiery words of prominent imams—might just dictate the next political move.

Given this potential scenario, America and the West in general will increase their level of monetary support, if not direct intervention. And this would indeed be a best case scenario for Putin, who ends up invading Ukraine without the support from the West it initially had. Other nations like China may see this as an opportunity to strike Taiwan as well, so there is no telling how hot this war will end up getting.

Overcoming Disunity through the Mind War

Even though a silver lining is difficult to find in such a scenario as presented above, Israel is not the small power it was in 1948 that was nevertheless able to repel the force of seven Muslim nations. Russia is not the Soviet Union empire it once was either, so a mere 6% tops of the US defense budget was so far enough to keep Russia from advancing further into Ukraine. Yet given the potential for other countries to get involved, Putin may possibly get his birthday wish of an over-occupied US going to the aid of a regional war. This regional war could turn into World War III if Russia succeeds in acquiring Ukraine down the line and then heads into Poland or the Baltics, not to mention China making hay (or rice) while the blood-soaked sun shines.

In such a worst case scenario, however, there is the grim but important lesson for us to learn about the priority of maintaining civilization. When sadistic acts displayed by the Russian army and Hamas in targeting civilians are seen as the general animalistic trend of those who have forsaken their chance at humanity, it’s not going to be the appeasers and society’s “social workers” who put a stop to this. Confronting evil of this magnitude will require resolve along with a strong enough justification of what we are fighting for.

To say it is a better and safer life for our children would be in many ways true, but not enough of a motivator for the grown-up children living such lives of safety yet finding them meaningless save for empty consumption. If we reject the animal nature with its ignorance turned to banality of evil, then we must be willing to understand who we are beyond the equally animal-like addiction to dopamine fixes as seen with the rise of social media.

Overcoming a challenge like the one in front of us today may perhaps be what takes many of us out of this nihilistic dopamine drip and teaches us the value of life, but this lesson can either be quick and easy or long and hard depending on how we respond to our current state of algorithm driven disunity.

Much like Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, Israel VS Palestine has been a long-time divisive topic, yet there are standards which can be looked at for how to judge certain actions so that we are not in a perilous limbo state of cultural relativism. Unable to grab onto any semblance of objective good with which to guide our decision making, it is no wonder why it's easier to just fall into tribalism. Yet such a challenge in our “mind war” means an equally great reward for having beaten it despite the algorithmically charged pull into whichever bandwagon resonates stronger with us.

When we’re able to win the Mind War, then the actual wars to come can either be won much quicker and with a minimal loss of life, or avoided altogether.

America’s sovereignty depends on both a secure US border & security abroad. So far on both fronts, Russia and its de facto owner China must be happy to see high levels of dysfunction as most Democrats ignore the former and MAGA Republicans ignore the latter. 

It is ironic, however, as the two problems occur primarily from little understanding among those who ignore them due to a lack of proximity. To much of the US congress, not to mention the American people, Ukraine is a completely alien concept. With the Democrats, current border security measures have been a miserable failure thanks to in no small part their lip service to far left causes.

Yet when it comes to the border issue, Florida governor Ron Desantis’s brilliant idea of sending illegal migrants to “sanctuary cities” like New York has finally resulted in the NIMBY politicians like New York City Mayor Eric Adams rescinding on such acts of nobility. Even Democratic New York governor Kathy Hochul has now called for a “Limit On Who Can Come Across the Border” so the pressure is on when there’s direct exposure to the problem. 

Unfortunately, short of sending an army of drunk Vatniks to Tucker Carlson’s country club, the great divide will remain between populist Republicans and the problems that will occur down the line should Ukraine fall to the Russians. In this way there is little difference between Tucker Carlson today and Kathy Hochul before she saw the result of her party’s choices playing out in real time.

What is the environment where such choices remain justified before getting your nose punched in with the truth, and can anything truly be done about it?

Traitors or Useful Idiots?

For days, members of the Republican House Freedom Caucus said “no” to the short-term government spending agreement set to last until November as they rallied against what’s become the normalized rise of funding many bills in one go rather than voting on them on an individual basis.

While concerns about transparency and accountability in government spending are to be applauded in any other case, it's been the funding of Ukraine’s war effort that’s been a primary motivator for the Republicans to block this spending agreement along with pushing for much needed border security. Yet at the end of the day, a spending agreement was indeed reached to extend the budget until Mid-November, but it excluded both support for Ukraine as well as border-security measures that the Republicans wanted so much.  

$16 billion in disaster relief aside, this was a Pyrrhic victory for the loudest minority within the Republican party but a refreshing one for those on the far left like Alexandra Occasio-Cortez  having thwarted “last minute anti-immigrant hijinks” and showing no sign of concern for Russian aggression. This is not surprising as the far left had to be bribed into supporting the war effort through Student loan forgiveness and Climate Change action while their heart lies much more with Useful Idiot Third World-ism. Neither is it hard to see why populist Republicans would adopt an anti-war position which looks morally superior on the surface while bringing more attention to internal problems ignored by a virtual signaling establishment. 

There have been calls of “traitor” towards these Republicans by Ukraine supporters, but such would only ring true for those who are smart enough to understand the trouble America will find itself in when allowing Russia to invade its neighbors, yet value getting elected more. Mostly, however, the die hard anti interventionists seem to be composed of people with selective historical amnesia so “useful idiot” would be a much better descriptor.

Rise of the Stupid

From either the left or right perspective, a shallow view of our current situation would understandably cast those who support sending aid let alone jet fighters to Ukraine as “war pigs” with profit and control as the sole motivator. But the key word is shallow as it takes little effort to be in favor of peace when you turn your mind off to the long term consequences of your actions. The same can be said of appeals to amnesty for border jumping migrants where “no human is illegal'' as we cannot digest all the poor countries entirely for our system to function in any way. Even if we were to assume that every migrant was beneficial, it would still be like trying to eat ten nutritious breakfasts in a row.

What this latter example shows right leaning dissidents is that a sizable portion of our educated class has been brainwashed into making emotionally driven decisions with history being distorted or ignored altogether to suit a woke political narrative. Add to this complaints about social media reducing our attention spans and you’ve got the making of a society where blind lead the blind. 

Only what these right leaning dissidents fail to see on account of their own blindness, is that they’re just as much a product of historical ignorance as their opposition, albeit from reacting to America’s past failures in Vietnam, Iraq, and Afghanistan rather than embracing social justice. Algorithms drive up stories reaffirming one’s position while giving nary an inch to the opponents regardless of whether they’re right or wrong.

As in Alcoholics Anonymous, the first step is admitting you have a problem, unless of course one assumes that being a dissident against war pigs and such gives you resistance to a problem everyone else faces. 

England saves the day again

Unlike the Americans and Western Europeans, England has at least shown a greater capacity for historical memory regarding World War II which underpins its commitment to helping Ukraine. Back then, Britain was the lone Western nation fighting an expanding Nazi Germany until the Americans lent their assistance and such a stand is not easily forgotten. At least not by the responsible elites in charge right now.

Most recently, this has been seen in the under-reported plan to send NATO boots on the ground of Ukraine in the form of training as recently disclosed by the new Defense Secretary Grant Shapps. Should this plan be carried out, it will be the first time an official foreign military presence makes itself known in the country, thereby solidifying Britain’s commitment to stopping Russian advancement. And in taking this action, the United Kingdom will play a significant role in preventing a recurrence of its past ordeal, when the relentless advance of the Nazis combined with European war fatigue rendered those beautiful mutual defense treaties worthless.

Waking the blind Useful Idiots

While lacking Britain’s immediate predicament of being within distance of the Nazi war machine, the US finally ended their policy of isolationism when war came to its shores in the form of the Attack on Pearl Harbor by the Japanese. While such an occurrence should never be hoped for, the tragedy underscores an important quality within a representative government like the United States…

Politicians care about staying in power and would not risk alienating their base unless a problem gets too overwhelming. So was the case with the aforementioned Governor Hochul and Mayor Adams who changed their tune when they saw how costly the border migrant crisis would be, both for their state and city as well for their own jobs. The same would be the case for the pundits and politicians that preach appeasement only when Ukraine loses and the war expands into Poland as well as the Baltics. This would be an incredibly tough situation both for the US and Western European budget as well as the rising embers of what can rightly be called World War III and all the carnage that comes with it.

Much like the pre World War II treaties were not worth the paper they were written on, there is no use in threateningly waving around Article 5 which “assures” protection through a united NATO front in the case of a country like Poland being invaded. All the more so, if Russia (and China) see Western weakness in response to Putin’s current aggression, there’s no reason why they would not proceed further… Article 5 might as well be a white flag by that point. 

The hope to wake up without such a rude awakening remains with countries like Britain to sound the alarm, as well as creating a united front over issues that make sense to pay attention to. That Britain’s new Defence Minister ruled out diversity “quotas” in the military and insisted that UK migrants should learn English and “be a productive part of society” are positive signs of such a front occurring. Just as well are there good signs of this in the aforementioned responses of politicians when exposed to problems at the border in their own backyard.

While it's too early to say that those trying to appeal to the far left have exchanged short term political gain for long term national stability, we have nothing to lose in getting more people to understand historical precedent as we know what the alternative will be. 

Almost as if by design, the elements which would turn off those on the right from supporting Ukraine have been doubled down on recently through what’s been falsely seen as support of progressive ideology. Yet, given that some populist Republicans might not back Ukraine regardless, the nation has little reason to change its stance.

Nevertheless, it's vital for liberal Democrats to look in the mirror and address the extremists within their ranks who contribute to division, especially when they point out such tendencies in the Republican party. This is all the more important because whether the main focus is Russia or China, a divided US only serves to benefit both.

Zelensky’s Dance

Ukrainian President Vlodymir Zelensky finds himself in a delicate position. To gather support against Russian aggression, he's been thrust into the U.S.'s polarized political stage, having to align with Democratic party platforms, such as climate change and social justice. This is evident in his government’s choice of figures like the American trans medic Sarah Ashton-Cirillo as the (recently fired) spokesperson for Ukraine’s military, inserting climate change talking points in his UN Speech, or the more recent embrace of “occult” artist Marina Abramović to be an ambassador for Ukraine.

For most right leaning pundits, any curiosity about the bigger picture behind these decisions is overshadowed by social brownie points they earn through clickbait so they can grow an audience and maintain (or try to maintain) a living by appealing to their specific audience. The plot is of a corrupt puppet Ukrainian government whose president is goose stepping in line with social justice causes and going as far as promoting the Scarlet Woman “Whore of Babylon” Abramović herself so as to usher in an era of global domination by a vampyric technocratic elite.

While the creep of such radical leftism can be seen in the fantasies of lunatics belonging to their respective camp, the idiots of the opposing camp seem to wholeheartedly believe that Ukraine is one step away from state sanctioned gender reassignment.

In reality, Ukraine is as far as you will get from the specter of progressivism till you reach Timbuktu, but what would anyone do in the place of Zelensky when the fate of your country is on the line and the people who sign off on your weapon supplies have to rely on appealing to the far left in order to secure a voting bloc? 

In the case of Ashton-Cirillo, MAGA Republican senator J.D. Vance accused the now fired Ukraine Military spokesperson of being an American intelligence operative who “threatens physical violence to anyone who circulates ‘Russian Propaganda”. Given Ashton-Cirillo’s non-answer in a video response to the intel accusation, the idea of the US government wanting an extra layer of protection against leftist insubordination through the promotion of transgender individuals in the war effort is not out of the question. It is, however, ridiculous to assume that Zelensky or anyone within the Ukrainian military would care about these identity issues especially during wartime.

Just like with the promotion of climate change doom and gloom in his recent UN speech (without mentioning Nuclear energy or India/China), anyone in Zelensky’s shoes would have to give lip service to the Democratic party. There is no choice as the dominating populist wing of the Republicans has made it very clear where it stands regarding the war. Even if Zelensky were to swap his olive green outfit for a Griftshop shirt complete with “White Boy Summer” shades, there would be no budging on the issue for the Republicans who either truly believe appeasement works or who know better but want to get elected no matter what.

Having neither the support of Republicans or Democrats means no aid to Ukraine so why would Zelensky not use whatever is available to defend his country? 

The Scarlet Woman

In the case of Maria Abramović, there is a particular reason as to why she’s being promoted to be an ambassador for the Ukrainian cause. Maria is a native of Serbia, a nation that flirts with the idea of aligning with Putin's Russia while simultaneously courting ties with NATO and Europe. Their stance on Ukraine, though not as contentious as Hungary's, sometimes leans towards being problematic on account of this coziness with the former. The hope is that due to Maria’s very pro Ukraine stance, she’d have more leverage with the Serbian higher ups who she’s already acquainted with to put pressure on the country so that they distance themselves from Russia more.

While the gut reaction of seeing someone like Abramović would assume she’d be all over a communist occult technocracy, “the devil” lies in the details which most bandwagon pundits would never consider looking into as it would do nothing to boost their likes.

Abramović has been the go-to occultist who certainly plays into the stereotype of elites being into human sacrifice with her “Spirit Cooking” ceremonies and hobnobbing (or should I say hobgoblining) with right wing boogeymen like Lord Jacob De Rothschild. That she took a photo with Rothschild in front of a 1796 painting entitled “Satan summoning his Legions” is such on-the-nose lazy Hollywood writing that it might as well be trolling.

Even if we were to overdose on redpills and assume that puppet masters behind the scenes continue to engage in what were historically acceptable practices for empires like that of the Phonecians, Abramović’s own views beyond any or her art show a healthy detestment for Communism and socialism. Being one of the pillars of the Globalist New World Order conspiracy where the lowly masses are supposed to “Live in the Pod and Eat the Bugs”, it might be surprising to know that Abramovic’s views from growing up in Communist Belgrade are not so different from your average 4chan “traditional aesthetics” poster:

“Perpetual shortages of everything, drabness everywhere. There is something about communism and socialism—it’s a kind of aesthetic based on pure ugliness.”

Indeed, the archetype of “The Scarlet Woman” (or Aleister Crowley’s “Babalon”) is one that liberates the divine feminine both from a Theocratic system empowered by organized religion or the totalitarian system empowered by ideologies like Nazism or Communism. While artistically playing to the tastes of some tasteless elites who may take this occult stuff seriously, Maria’s end goal in her own words does not match up to this idea of a global control system.

And while order is certainly needed to maintain balance with the liberation of the divine feminine, Ukraine has been a far greater example of this order mixed with liberty in comparison to Russia or even the United States to a certain degree. The reason for this latter comparison has to do with fighting for one’s future existence as a nation as opposed to the fear of confrontation in a country like America with far less to lose.

The Politics of Fear

Zelensky realizes that there is no way out at the moment other than to align with the Democrats, but what currently unites both parties is the overwhelming fear of helping Ukraine “too much”. Their mutual concern is whether Putin launches a nuke on account of losing the war, or the idea that a destabilized Russia presents more danger than this aforementioned scenario.

For the Biden Administration, this comes mainly from figures like national security advisor Jake Sullivan and his National Security Council who are scared that Putin might press the red button. Others presenting themselves as “realists” follow in the footsteps of George Bush Sr. who saw the USSR as “the Devil you know”. The USSR, however, never threatened nuclear retaliation over conventional warfare or proxy conflicts, recognizing the dire consequences of a full-scale nuclear showdown between the superpowers. In addition, the Soviet Union had what could be described as a “balance of powers” with the Communist Party keeping a check on the KGB and vice versa, whereas today Russia answers only to one man.

That there are actual realists like Anthony Blinken within The Biden Administration who understand the importance of quickly arming Ukraine is already far more than can currently be expected of the Republicans. Yet, the slow progress can be linked to the same fearful mindset that allowed unrest neighborhoods to burn in 2020 and capitulated to progressive pressures. That Zelensky now pretends to align himself with some of these measures is due to a lack of other alternatives. But unlike Zelensky, Democrats DO have a choice in gatekeeping their party from leftist extremists, yet chose not to.

While it makes sense in the short term to forge an alliance with the fringe so as to control them as in the case of Democrats and the far left, at what point does the tail start wagging the dog? While the traditional idiom was “politics is the art of compromise”, there is a limit to how much you can do so with an ideology uncompromising in its ultimate vision of reality. You can delay the more extreme elements from manifesting or even strike a deal with Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez to support aiding Ukraine, but will such control ever be enough?

Just as in the case of Russia, displays of violence that go unopposed will let the perpetrators know just how far they can push without getting a blow to the nose. 

Short of Democrats and liberals in general who self censor because of wanting to control the far left, the majority will simply be too scared to speak out even if they sense an impending problem. Effective resistance against Russia runs into this same problem for both parties (though much more within the Right) who think they can “reason” with Putin instead of giving him the bloody nose he deserves.

On the other hand, because the enemy is right at their doorstep, Ukraine does not have the luxury of being scared or the ignorance of attempting diplomacy but must act in defense of their existence. Same goes for Catholic Poland as well as the less religious but equally high-trust Baltic states, all of which are preparing for the worst instead of trying to appease Russia.

Yet unlike Western Europe and especially the well armed United States, Russia poses far more of a threat to these neighboring countries, and it is precisely because of understanding this threat that leaders like Zelensky make the only choice on the table.

Critical crossroads

To sum up the present danger, there is currently an overly prolonged war from populist Republican isolationism and liberal Democrat reluctance to actually defeat Putin once and for all. This is as much an opportunity to slowly bleed Russia dry as it is for the US to become overwhelmed by the growing discontentment on both sides. So a message for both in in order:

Message to Liberals: The embrace of  identity politics might seem necessary to ensure the far left's allegiance, but there's a danger in this tactic. While it may appease in the short-term, such dependence risks driving the party deeper into illiberal practices. Neglecting these issues might seem inconsequential now, but an over-reliance on far-left ideologies can pave the way for future fractures and vulnerabilities as we are already seeing with the state of the US border, rising crime rates, and a growing populist movement against anything outside their bandwagon consensus.

Message to Conservatives: Ukraine's alignment with Democratic priorities on climate change and identity politics is not an endorsement of these ideologies. Rather, it's a strategic necessity. In the absence of significant Republican support, Ukraine has little choice but to align with the preferences of those willing to offer backing. This shouldn't be seen as an ideological shift but as a pragmatic response to their geopolitical situation. It's crucial for Republicans to recognize this nuance and consider the broader implications of withholding support.

Supporting Ukraine has incurred the current cost of around just 6% of total US defense spending, while populist inspired isolationism to focus on the very real domestic problems exclusively means ignoring the equally real threat of Russian (thus Chinese) expansion on the world stage. And just like the leftists and criminals were emboldened towards violence in 2020 by a party who thought they could control or reason with them, an aggressor will have nothing to fear from those who give it nothing to be afraid of in the first place.

The more divided our union is at the moment, especially on issues of offense spending (offense being the best defense), the more emboldened Russia and China will be to take what they like. At best if Ukraine falls, a far greater percent of our entire military budget will have to go for the eventual hot war against Russia in Poland and the Baltics. At worst, our domestic problems will encircle the US in a ring of isolation as some former allies either fight World War III while others raise the white flag. This possibility of nations surrendering is even more likely should the precedent be set of treating Putin’s nuclear threats as enough to give up without a fight.

Such a scenario as the above is likely to occur if fear, apathy, and short term gain override making the right decision. And in order to make such a decision, overcoming the instinct to judge figures like Zelensky over whatever generates juicy headlines is key. Just as important, however, for the other side is to resist a leftist appeasement that further divides us and gives an opening for the real enemies to take charge.

Uniting against destructive ideas today will make all the difference when it comes to the kind of world we will find ourselves in tomorrow, but such is not currently the case with the Anti Defamation League and its detractors, as well as those unwilling to speak out on both.

Much like with Russia's invasion of Ukraine, the ever-increasing tribal opposition means that whatever makes sense to one camp will be opposed or ignored by the other. The ADL's platforming of left-wing social justice initiatives in recent times has similarly triggered this kind of backlash, conflating legitimate concerns about antisemitism with what Elon Musk has termed “the woke mind virus”.

Musk himself has pointed out this problem with the organization as have conservative Jewish outlets like the Jewish News Syndicate, but in his particular case there have been less than stellar actions like amplifying the unabashed anti-Semite Keith Woods and not calling out the blood libel comparison between Judaism and Adrenochrome in a post Musk drew attention towards.

That being said, standing against the aforementioned people and ideas does not mean they should be banned from the platform like the ADL would prefer, but at the same time Musk’s influence has the “noblesse oblige” to set a good example by choosing who to amplify for their audience from their personal loudspeaker. 

While Musk did say that he was “pro free speech, but against anti-Semitism of any kind” in a recent post, it would be nice if there were other people for him to elevate that are both against the banning of people like Woods while at the same time not hating people based on their genetic profile. But because organizations like the ADL now consider conservative values on immigration, gender, and culture to be bigoted, it creates a false impression in the minds of those unfamiliar with the diversity of Jewish people that there’s a monolith with some long standing grudge against Western civilization. This in turn attracts them to actual bigotry when the standards for such a definition have been blurred.

But how did this mess we’re in come to be in the first place, and what can we do to change it?

The Sin Chicken Scapegoat

It goes without saying that such hatred existed long before the ADL, though for most Christian nations it was based on a difference of religion as opposed to what the Nazis considered to be genetic determinism. Regardless of motive, however, the recurring practice of those discriminating against the Jews has been to treat them like some orthodox Jews treat chickens in the barbaric Kapparot ritual practiced on the day before Yom Kippur… the Day of Atonement ironically enough.

While Ashkenazi Chief Rabbi of Israel David Lau urged “to refrain from causing suffering to animals” during this ritual as well as history’s great rabbis like Nachmanides, Shlomo ben Aderet, and Joseph ben Ephraim Karo opposed it outright, the dreadful thing continues to this day. Such practice is to be found neither in the Torah or Talmud, where chickens that are often kept in poor cramped conditions are spun around one’s head while praying for atonement and then given to the hungry. But this latter part is no excuse for the undue suffering of the animal especially when the same ritual can be performed with money instead.

In the way that Jews who observe the ritual bring about additional cruelty by pretending to offset their sins into the poor animal, otherwise seemingly decent people descend into barbarism when offsetting the negative aspects of life onto those who they have power over in numbers and might. 

It was not that long ago when Jews could not own land in Europe and were only allowed to mostly profit from the kinds of jobs that were deemed sinful such as those involving the practice of usury. Thus European Jews had to don the Sin Chicken costume on top of their Yarmulke while those who persecuted them for it never had to get their own feathers ruffled.

The barrier to integration was religion, which was a serious matter for both sides. Despite this, those Jews who integrated through conversion and subsequent marriages with gentiles eventually faced far less suspicion. By the time Hitler came to power, the number of Christians with Jewish ancestry was almost equal to the total population of Jews within Germany, though obviously by that time things were very different. 

Some prominent reasons for converting had to do with removing the heavy shackles of religious tribalism altogether. In this way, Protestantism as the civic national religion within Germany served as a lighter weight allowing the Sin Chicken to spread its wings and fly like the proud German Eagle.

From Faith to Ideology

So within Germany as was the case in many parts of a secularizing Europe, Jews were eventually able to integrate without having to profess serious belief other than in the patriotism to the nation they call home. The downside of this trend, however, was that a lack of religious conviction opened an existential gap for Jews and non Jews alike that would be filled up by a rising revolutionary sentiment.

This was especially the case within the Russian Empire, as being an absolute monarchy during a time of great technological and political change meant tensions were already high among those who wanted to take Russia into a newer more progressive direction. It did not help that one of the four left-wing terrorists who assassinated Czar Alexander II in 1881 was Jewish, as this prompted a further backlash by the inflamed Christian masses.

To make matters worse, while Alexander II was a sweeping reformer who finally allowed for a merit based way for a certain number of Jews to leave the Pale of Settlement and enter polite society, his son was the opposite. Upon ascending to the throne after his father’s death, Alexander III undid many of these reforms under the guise of the “May Laws”, as well as reversing steps toward a Constitutional Monarchy, .

One could only imagine that if these revolutionaries concentrated on gradual reform which was already taking place or if Alexander III was not an atavistic anti-Semitic reactionary, we would not have had the USSR as well as the worldwide spread of communism. But there is enough historical insight for us to watch out for certain trends.

One example is extreme over-reactions on mutually opposing sides which eventually lead to destruction and tyranny as was the case with Russia. Another equally important and evident fact was that regardless of ethnos, the dissenters against Russia’s monarchy were a part of a part of the nobility, wealthy businessmen, and intelligentsia which had been fighting against “the system” long before Jews were allowed in polite society.

And while the barbaric Bolshevism was carried out by a leadership around half of which were Jewish by birth, what united them was not some love of Judaism (as most were stubborn atheists) but the combination of two important elements. One was a reaction to the actually existing idiocy and reactionism of Russia’s absolute monarchy maintaining class segregation. The other was being intelligent and willful enough for that role in the same way that Jews excel in physics, math, music, chess, and Nobel Prizes to name a few. 

Yet as Communism and other such ideologies show us, the pursuit of greatness has rarely gone only in the direction of “the good” when dealing with political matters.

Just as such in our world today, the easily recognizable but harder to address problems that both Jews and Non Jews have to deal with are created and maintained by whoever ends up being the most qualified. Any organized group within government, media, and academia that desires to brainwash and censor will unfortunately have a line of overeducated idiots going out the door who come from every part of the (mostly) upper social hierarchy.

Take away all the Jews and you will find just as many overproduced elites from WASPish families or other such groups who have been loyal members of the far left priesthood and would act no differently than current ADL president Jonathan Greenblatt when it comes to social justice. Take away the ADL and you’ll still have organizations like the Southern Poverty Law Center, though it is understandably tempting to confuse their CEO Maragret Huang for a character right out of “Fiddler on the Roof”. 

And even if Lenin did not have any Jews within the Bolshevik leadership, there would be plenty of revolutionaries willing to step up, including a certain Georgian named Joseph Stalin. 

Less Intelligence and More Cowardice

When it comes to Stalinism, this was the stark reality that broke Communism's illusion for journalist Eugene Lyons who eventually went on to write “The Red Decade'' exposing Stalinist subversion within the US. Lyons identified most of the American intelligentsia during the thirties as ardent supporters of this mass murderer, being blind sided by talks of a utopia that America is far behind from achieving. Any voices to the contrary fell on deaf ears if not outright exclusion. 

In the same way, our current “intelligentsia”, including a rising percentage of reform Jews who consider themselves to be within its ranks, fawn over stupid policies that a rising number of Americans oppose. Organizations like the ADL and SPLC help stoke this fire further by associating antisemitism or white supremacy with opposition to these policies, but the real problem lies in those who know better yet do nothing.

Eugene Lyons was smart enough to clearly see what Communism leads to when he was exposed to it first hand working for the Soviet Press, and afterwards made a 180 degree turn to oppose it with all his might. Yet there is doubt that the progressives today are smart enough to do the same even if they have access to all this historical knowledge, as they do not bother looking any of it up on youtube let alone read a book.

But it's easy to pick on brain fried zoomers making up most of the progressive wing who never had much of a chance to begin with. The target of derision should be placed on the backs of public intellectuals who know what the problems are yet refrain from engaging with the opposition. This applies not just to engaging with those who support the more woke policies of the ADL but even more so with anti-Semites on the fringes of both the left as well right.

While the far right has been more associated with antisemitism in our culture, it would be a rookie mistake to overlook the extreme hatred towards Jews from the so-called “Progressive” Movement. Like their long lost reactionary brothers, leftists have traditionally seen Jews as inherent capitalist exploiters or in the case of Israel, as Darth Vader tier imperialists that deserve to be taken down by the “rebel alliance” of the plucky Palestinians. Just as leftists and rightists can agree on not supporting Ukraine, the horseshoe theory, which posits that extremes can resemble each other, proves true once again in this case.

Time is now moving quickly while animosity is heating up, yet the promotion of actual liberal values is wasted on preaching to the choir. In this sense these classically liberal priests do not deserve such a name, and are no different from the extremists who prefer to be within their zone of influence. At least reactionaries put their reputation on the line for what they believe in, even if it ends in them spinning the Sin Chicken around once again. 

But this should not be a sign of any kind of Dead End. Eugene Lyons knew he would turn many of his former friends against him for doing the right thing, but he was able to find a community of mutual support through such venues as National Review, Radio Free Europe and The American Jewish League Against Communism.

Let this example show what needs to be done from here. There need to be better suited candidates for Musk to promote who are not far right or anti-Semites ( so long as Musk is not an anti-Semite himself), and they must be able to engage with all the criticisms from such reactionary circles, including everything brought forth against the ADL.

But why should those with liberal perspectives engage in dialogue with avowed Nazis instead of deplatforming and disregarding them? Historically, especially since 2016, mainstream social media platforms have marginalized such groups, though were largely influenced by ideologies akin to the "woke" ADL when it comes to the broad brush applied to what’s considered “hateful”. 

This has understandably driven more individuals towards intolerance when they see views on immigration, family, gender, and not hating white people being equated to that of wanting a Fourth Reich.

Lo and behold, Musk acquires Twitter and now those people who would have been fine with civic liberal values see their leftist opposition as such an existential threat to Western civilization, that pussyfooting around with things like “human rights” doesn’t cut it anymore. And they are not wrong to fear such a threat from the far left as should all of us who fear the same from the far right.

Their desire for a right wing dictatorship or indeed a Fourth Reich are no longer exclusive to the murkier corners of the internet thanks to Musk, so deplatforming or ignoring is no longer an option. Even if it was possible to clamp down on such ideas, it would have only grow their echochamber when most of those doing the “clamping down” have been the aforementioned leftists that equate conservatism, populism, and Nazism as one. The only way forward in this case is through closer dialogue not to change the minds of these far right ideologists, but to work with their young and ignorant disciples who often don’t know better.

Yet the problem today is that classical liberals have not shown sufficient strength in addressing these issues through dialogue, nor do many have the desire to do so. This is why to most far right extremists, liberalism is a weak and cowardly old horse who would rather live in its stable decorated like the 1990s than wake up to the current reality. Until liberals defend the values they claim to uphold in as passionate a way as those who see them as too weak, then they truly deserve to lose. 

In conclusion, a line in the sand should be drawn between individuals who can bravely engage with people at the fringes and those who prefer to play around with only those they consider “safe”. The former should be promoted by a greater network of influential free thinkers as much as possible while the latter ignored.

To do otherwise means that taboo subjects gain power over people’s emotions who are sick and tired of the ADL conflating ideas which were far more reasonable with evil. Then the real evil comes out like a thief in the night and those who postpone confronting it before such a time is reached will not be spared. 

Last Thursday, bigtime Putin propagandist Vladimir Soloviev interviewed Alex Jones in what was a predictable interweaving of common sense American values with appeasement to the Russian invasion of Ukraine based on complete lies. 

Soloviev wasted no time in complementing Jones for his fight against globalism. He positioned Russia as a strong ally in this cause, echoing a sentiment held by many naive Westerners who assume that Putin has Russia's best interests at heart. Together, Jones and Soloviev wheeled in the heavy decomposing corpse of pro-Russia talking points: That of an alleged “promise” of no NATO expansion despite no such promise ever being ratified, Putin kicking out the big bad oligarchs, and of course how Russian society is pro-family and pro-God unlike the decadent West. 

In reality, Russian society is a cesspool of banditism, abortion, and drug addiction, all of which is sustained by an inherited culture of collective Stockholm Syndrome towards their current “master”. While some poorer and civilizationally backwards cultures in the West are comparable to the same sorry state most Russians find themselves in, we have inherited a philosophically based system of power-checking institutions and a far more intuitive sense of liberty so as to reject the same kind of top-down rule.

Yet, precisely because most of us aren’t like the mentally enslaved Putinist Russians, it is important not to blindly trust in whatever those within the mainstream institutions claim is good for us. But dissecting the frog of conspiracies so as to pull out information vital to preserving our liberty is an arduous task given the frog’s proclivity for consuming garbage fed by people like Solaviev. So what is the alternative?

Unless we think every decision those heading our institutions are making is to our benefit, it behooves us to have watchdogs (or watchfrogs) that bark (or croak) at the slightest indication of potential tyranny. What’s lost on “I feel it in my heart” people like Jones, however, is the prospect of worldwide chaos and tyranny stemming from Russia rather than our faulty but comparatively manageable institutions in the US. Such is not surprising given that agents like Soloviev claim to oppose this draconian government overreach despite knowing the truth, while buttering Jones up with compliments. 

Being able to extract any valuable warnings of potential government overreach all the while resisting Russia’s sphere of influence is possible as long as we keep our sense of judgment from descending into the bog of partisanship on either side. While especially difficult in such a divided time as now, overcoming this difficulty may be the whole point in terms of personal and collective growth. 

The Enemy of my Enemy

Such anti-partisan growth is unfortunately not likely for figures like Alex Jones. Within the world of his show Infowars, it would not make any sense to bring on someone who was Pro Ukraine let alone agree with them as you’d get nothing other than risking the loss of subscribers. So conveniently, the narratives featured on Jones’ show play well with each other so as to present a reality where Russia cannot possibly be the bad guy in the world of a conspiratorial web where everything is not what it looks like and because that distinction goes to the power hungry “Globalist Elites”.

It's harder for those invested in conspiracies to imagine scenarios where Russia is actually the bad guy precisely because of this dialectic, but such is the partisan life. To be clear, the end goal of going against such tribalism has nothing to do with taking an equal amount from each side but to avoid supporting stupid and dangerous ideas from a lack of information. This is not information that one’s political brothers in arms can provide either; they'd be on the same boat as you when it comes to what they know. So within this “Information War”, a very convenient opportunity comes up for the Russian government to exploit through sweet talking and influencing the (quite literal) loudspeakers of society like Jones.

But in the case of Russia, the enemy of Alex Jones’ enemy is most certainly not his friend. Russia’s criminal system would be something right out of Jones’ worst New World Order nightmare and Vladimir Soloviev would be the first to acknowledge this in secret. 

Soloviev had been an anti authoritarian figure who expressly warned against Russia invading Ukraine, and especially standing up against the the acquisition of Crimea before Russia invaded it in 2014, yet seemingly switched sides overnight in support of Putin at that point in exchange for great wealth. But if an uncorrupted Soloviev from another dimension would have spoken with Jones instead, there would have been enough presented about the Dystopia that is modern day Russia to fill a 24 hour broadcast. Highlights that any Globalist would-be tyrant can take notes from include smartphone conscriptions tied to social credit, unmitigated abuse from criminal friends of the government towards civilians, and the creation of a censorious government controlled internet.

This latter attempt at technocratic totalitarianism has been collaborated on with the Chinese government which at this point might as well be Russia’s defacto colonizer. So it's ironic that Jones praises Russia given his absolute hatred for Xi Jinping and Communist China which he claims owns the West instead. 

To play Devil’s Advocate, one should dedicate a good amount of time towards uncovering the alleged political ties certain US politicians have to China. However, even without diving that deep, there have always been cases of government overreach that try inching towards the models of such authoritarian states.

That being said, no government (and especially a big government like that of the US) is perfect, so it's crucial to distinguish such criticism from the knee-jerk contrarianism seen against anything the current US government endorses. 

Neo-pronouns and Power Creep

If we are to compare the technological power creep with its opposite, it would be Jones' own upbringing as described in Alex Lee Moyer’s eye opening documentary “Alex’s War”. Growing up amidst the raw grit and honor-centric ethos of Dallas, Texas, it's conceivable that this environment shaped Jones's burly narrative style in the media. Later, the transition of the Jones family to the vibrant, libertarian culture of Austin may illuminate the unorthodox creativity hidden beneath his rugged Texan facade.

While today’s helicopter parents would faint at the prospect of their kids exposed to the same levels of danger that the budding Jones found himself in, most seem to have less problems with the social media panopticon regulating what these kids are allowed to express. It goes back to the question of safety VS liberty where the illusion of the former can be used to justify removal of the latter, especially when motivated by appeals to emotion.

Such is the case with pronouns and “neo-pronouns” like Zir which some have adopted to denote a different gender identity. Despite having been the punchlines of many jokes to the point of staleness, misgendering through using non-preferred pronouns has in part warranted the US Department of Education to launch a probe into conservative activist Chris Rufo. This occurred after Florida Governor Ron Desantis hired Rufo to take over the State school “New College of Florida” in order to get rid of its DEI (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion) policies in his “War on Wokeness”. And to be clear, there were other complaints beyond misgendering including Rufo allegedly calling New College students “mentally ill” as well as the act of disbanding of DEI education in the college itself. 

But the larger question has to do with whether respect for another person’s self described identity and the promotion of such identities to children through our tax funded institutions should be mandated by the federal government? In the case of dissent from states like Florida, we can see an attempted clampdown by appeals to Washington. While this recent Rufo case is unrelated to Jones personally, the weaponization of language has been an often recurring theme both within Infowars and as the backbone of what made George Orwell’s 1984 so disturbing.

Of course, such instances pale in comparison to Russian pensioners being sent to seven years of prison for criticizing the invasion, or a teenager arrested for social media posts which “discredit the Russian army and justify terrorism”. Probably one of the saddest examples is that of human rights activist Sergei Mokhnatkin who died age 66 after getting his back broken by prison staff in his frigid penal colony which might as well be a Gulag. This was the last in a succession of political arrests which all started when he tried to help a female anti-government protester being beaten by two policemen.  

Bigotry as the Great Filter

And we can only hope that our great institutions and separation of powers can save us from the same level of totalitarianism, which is otherwise very much possible in the US when those in positions of responsibility do nothing for fear of being branded transphobes, bigots, and the like.

In the case of Variety’s review of the aforementioned “Alex’s War” documentary, it was safer to speak in abstractions about the problems Alex points to:

“Who doesn’t feel at times, in this society, overly controlled — by technology, by the corporatization that rules the technology, by the government that works hand in glove with the corporations, by not one but two political parties that seem increasingly out-of-touch with the needs of average people?”

Not present are specific accusations against organized groups, fanatical ideologies, or certain powerful individuals as these carry political baggage. At the same time, associating such accusations with bigotry of the worst kind has been a convenient way to avoid addressing proposals that any sane freedom loving person would reject if found to be true. 

One example of this within the article is when the author mentions the John Birch Society, a far right wing advocacy group that a young Alex Jones heard about through family connections as being a “club of anti-Communist, anti-Semitic late-’50s cranks”.

Writings from the society’s founder Robert W. Welch Jr. dispute the latter part of this claim:

"All we are interested in here is opposing the advance of the Communists, and eventually destroying the whole Communist conspiracy, so that Jews and Christians alike, and Mohammedans and Buddhists, can again have a decent world in which to live."

But the assessment from Historian Matthew Dallek shows a greyer picture in his book “Birchers” presenting the society as what “propelled today's extremist takeover of the American right”. He writes of many racists and antisemites who were card-carrying members and sometimes leaders themselves. Despite this, the Birchers did try to expel some overtly antisemitic and racist members as well as made attempts to recruit non-whites. Yet the organization was so far to the right that we can expect enough fellow travelers would disagree with Mr. Welch’s anti bigotry statement. Examples of their extremist stance was an opposition to the Civil Rights Movement, The Equal Rights Amendment, views on abortion, and other such ultra right views. 

Yet the greatest shame of all was that the Birchers’ assessments of communist subversion in the US by the Soviet Union had many elements of truth which the aforementioned associations with far right bigotry helped otherwise potentially sympathetic people to ignore. Soviet subversives were indeed manipulating African Americans with anti-American ideas, as black leftist radical Angela Davis was a frequent guest of honor within the USSR. Not to mention the communist presence within FDR’s cabinet or that most of the “cool kids” intelligentsia during the 30s and 40s were ardent Stalinists. 

Regarding the Variety article yet again, there’s an apparent absence by the author of any negative associations towards Communism, preferring the previously mentioned “corporatization” as chief boogeyman without the least bit of criticism for an ideology under which untold millions have perished and which is viewed quite favorably in many Western universities unlike its rightfully derided bosom buddy ideology of Nazism.

The power creep into such an ideology has been one of the most frequent warnings that Jones had given (mixed in with Nazi totalitarian features to boot). And in regards to the John Birch Society, what struck Jones was the mentioning of “the one-world government, the cashless society, the plan to break up the family.”

Marxist gender theory speaks about breaking up the family and we’ve witnessed government creep that empowers such results. Such is the case of a recent bill passed by the The California State Assembly which would require judges in child custody cases to consider whether a parent has affirmed a child’s belief that they are transgender. Those parents not down with the program now have less power to stop those who can potentially brainwash their children into adopting something cherished by the dominant progressive ideology within the state. Beyond gender theory, the bigger message of such a victory is that government institutions are to be the arbiters of a child’s upbringing in contrast with the family.

As for the “Cashless Society”, the potential for danger with a lack of anonymity and an easier way to introduce Social Credit are the primary red flags. Sadly, these are left unaddressed by the former Governor of the central bank of Sweden in his assessment of the risks and benefits such a system would bring. As expected, China is ahead of the curve on going cashless and we can only guess at how much liberty their people will enjoy once the transition is complete. 

The jury is still out on this “one world government”, but the tendency for such control of what you are allowed to think and what you are allowed to buy has been the trademark of every Communist dictatorship. That the author of this Variety article on Jones didn’t give a second thought to such matters is mildly disappointing, but what is more disappointing is that Jones cannot see Putin as being of the same KGB lineage that gave birth to the horrors of a dystopia he wants to avoid at all costs.

Another piece of the puzzle that prevents reasonable people from taking much of these warnings seriously has to do with attributing all such matters to being a coordinated conspiracy as this is a much more romantic view and good for keeping the audience coming back. A less romantic but more important way of looking at these things and being taken seriously has to do with ignoring the motives and concentrating on the end results. 

If politicians and think tanks advocate for policies that result in anonymity and freedom of expression to be taken away, it should not matter in the least that it came as a result of well intentioned uncoordinated individuals. What matters is the kind of society we are left with when all is said and done. 

Unfortunately, as with any organization that attracts both bigots and liberty lovers alike, it is to be expected that talking about international finance and world government gets linked up with antisemitism (and astonishingly, with supporting Putin’s Russia) that the only prospect of victory is installing an authoritarian dictator to remove our current institutions. In such cases, the over and under educated idiots on the right present just as much of a problem as those on the left.

Bad Influence

When it comes to Alex Jones and Infowars, there appears to be the same “I’ll take what I can get” disposition in terms of the audience, much like the previously mentioned case of the John Birch Society. Jones himself has consistently preached an anti racist, anti Nazi civic unity, and professed as such through physical demonstrations by having loudspeaker protests against the KKK and building associations in the minds of his viewers with globalist elites and Nazi Eugenicists. Given John D. Rockefeller's support for the dreaded Kaiser Wilhelm Institute, this is not far off in some cases.

But this holding on to classical liberal principles which Jones himself talks about being inspired to uphold through the examples of a creative and liberty loving Austin is at risk of being a historical throwback when the lines of tribal division reinforce the worst qualities on both sides. 

Such is the example of far right catboy loving antisemite Nick Fuentes joining up with Jones during Trump’s 2020 reelection campaign and afterwards with Kanye West’s steady descent into “Net and Yoohoo” land. 

Despite the differing views. Much like the seduction of money & power worked for Solovyev, perhaps being able to influence the zoomer market through connecting with Fuentes was on Jones’s mind in an alliance of the deplatformed.

This should not mean, however, that Jones does not bear responsibility for his associations. It's easy to make excuses for associating with people you’d keep a distance from in better times when the media squeezes all of you into the same straw man, but such are matches made in hell. Jones had realized as much himself and was quick to denounce Ye’s antisemitism as well as Fuentes’s “hitler fetish”, describing this temporary association as being “sucked into a giant publicity stunt”. But the problem goes beyond any one association and circles back to why Russian propagandists like Soloviev have an outsized influence on Jones and many other fringe dissidents.

Much like a dictator would be controlled in a large part by the will of the masses, another factor that should not be discounted is how much “taking what you can get” turns into “giving the people what they want” when the views start rolling in. Unlike a younger Jones reading Zimbegeu Brzezinski, most of his (or anyone’s) viewers don’t have the time or attention to look up primary sources and compare what he says to contrary opinions. At this point it becomes too convenient to be influenced by those who reinforce what your audience wants to hear and you are stuck in a self referential loop of ignorance.

This is not dissimilar from the situation Vladimir Putin finds himself in today, where all the propaganda was made for satisfying him first and foremost. Adding to this Putin’s inner circle of brown-nosers and there is very little chance of contradictory information slipping by. 

Beyond Jones and Putin, such is the case with Elon Musk and Donald Trump as well. When your biases can be reinforced by bad actors while you’d ignore or intentionally distance yourself from anyone who disagrees with said biases (or fire in the case of Trump), this becomes a dangerous situation on a geopolitical scale. For example, most recently Musk admitted to withholding Starlink access that would have helped Ukraine destroy the ships which later ended up firing on them. Why should he not appreciate those who praise him for “preventing Nuclear War” and ignore those castigating him for not helping fight the invader?

Escaping the Dialectic

Much like a World Economic Forum acolyte will face no social repercussions for advising us to “live in the pod and eat the bugs” in the name of Climate Justice, dissidents against our current system like Jones will get no flack for swallowing Kremlin talking points. 

Fueled by their mutual antagonism, those within the system cling to its every word that much more and associate any dissent from the social ideologies promoted by this system as a personal affront. At the same time, those against the system have fewer lifelines to reason having been excluded from polite society. Most of those belonging to neither camp are too concerned for their reputation to speak out against both, as they would not want to be seen as antagonistic to their social group.

Alex Jones himself provides an answer to this conundrum in what was one of the most popular episodes of the Joe Rogan Experience ever made: Episode #911. Speaking with Rogan and Eddie Brave, Jones gets very metaphysical when speaking about higher and lower dimensions, predictive Artificial Intelligence, and free will.

While there is probably a lot for physicists, metaphysicians, and AI programmers alike to tear apart in his “Big Enchilada” explanation of reality, the underlying message of human transcendence through inner change is a recurring call to action throughout our history.

The Emphasis on life being a “human test about building us up” is especially important for people to break the false impression of life as short and meaningless, to be lived only for pleasure and power. But an important part of this building up that is yet to be emphasized has to do with transcending the dialectical tribalism that dooms us to being influenced for someone else’s power gain or wanting to get power for ourselves. By rising above the popular currents, we can better see which leads to destruction and which to salvation. Doing so won’t make us popular like Alex Jones or fit in with the wine sipping Davos crowd, but such things are transient when compared to what Jones himself emphasized as a higher purpose to life.

To do otherwise when we’re aware of the serious deceptions within our political circles is to sell our soul for temporary partisan success. If this really is a human test, then we get an F by being hypocrites or choosing to remain ignorant, followed by detention or getting left back. On the other hand, if we take the time to hear out opposing sides and understand the ramifications of whatever we support, graduating to a higher level may not be that far off.

If we lend credence to the speculation surrounding the downing of his plane, the fate of former Wagner PMC leader Yevgeny Prigozhin may not be as it initially appears and there is a chance of the ogre returning to his Kremlin swamp in the near future.

Examples of this include a cryptic poem displayed at Prigozhin’s grave hinting at the ambiguity of being dead or alive as well as his funeral being attended by what appears to look more like the wife of Prigozhin’s body double rather than that of Lyubov Prigozhina. 

There’s also the “insider knowledge” of Dr Valery Solovey, a former professor at Moscow’s Institute of International Relations who speaks about Prigozhin’s body double being aboard the plane shot down by the personal sanction of president Vladmir Putin himself. This leaves the Wagner chief “alive, well, and free” as well as "preparing for revenge”.

And while none of these suspicions are as yet definitive, their spread underscores how strongly Prigozhin represents the potential for change within the Russian armed forces, and hopefully in the minds of the West who have still had a level of fear mixed in with the foolish hope of making peace.

Beyond Prigozhin, another dissenter within Putin’s ranks was Russian army general Sergey Surovikin who was recently sacked by Putin from his post as head of aerospace forces. In general, any symbols with some hint of change were either set aside like the above mentioned Surovikin, imprisoned like former FSB officer Igor “Strelkov” Girkin, or murdered like Prigozhin has allegedly been. 

Of course, such bad outcomes mean that many potential change agents will shut up and obey, but this has to also be weighted against the likelihood of meeting the same Grim Reaper on the battlefield due to Russia’s military incompetence and growing losses, or getting one’s tongue cut for not licking Putin’s behind in as thorough of a manner.

That these aforementioned influential leaders within the Russian military chose to take their chances is already a sign that the motivation for doing so was stronger than to keep existing within Russia’s current Putinist framework.

Evidence of further dissent can be seen in the Wagner-run Telegram Channel “Grey Zone” (Not to be confused with Max Blumenthal’s pro-Russia far left rag) which labeled those who killed Prigozhin as “traitors'' though did not specify who these traitors are. That Ukrainians and other foreign enemy nations were not directly associated with such a distinction leaves a prominent target sign on the head of Putin and his government stooges. 

Putin the Schoolyard Bully

More important than who Putin’s Kremlin goes after is the question of when? In the case of Prigozhin, it was only after the Wagner group was completely disarmed and separated that he was targeted for assassination. Were he to have been killed off before this dismantling, there would have been a good chance for his well equipped private army to advance into Moscow in a bout of vengeance.

The big takeaway here is that like a schoolyard bully, Putin is always ready to pick a fight with those unable to defend themselves. Ukraine falls into this paradigm as well due to Putin’s expectations of imminent surrender by a helpless former satellite of the once “glorious” Soviet Union and Russian Empire, but instead what they got were armed and motivated people ready to defend their country.

While Wagner is out of the picture for now, the real life Neo Nazis of the Rusich Group among those fighting against Ukraine are well armed enough themselves to bear fangs at Putin through Telegram on the day of Prigozhin’s plane crash: “Let this be a lesson for everyone. You always need to go to the end”

The Rusich Telegram went on to speak of various government betrayals, including how "the careers of two old degenerates cost more than the lives of 25 thousand Russian soldiers." They were, of course, pointing towards Putin loyalists: Minister of Defence, Sergei Shoigu, and Chief of the General Staff, Valery Gerasimov. 

But one should not make the mistake of seeing these two human paperweights as having any personal agency since whatever decisions they make come directly from Putin himself. 

Is Putin Stronger or Weaker?

And even though the larger Russian media apparatus is not as brave as the above examples, does this mean Putin is stronger after having avoided a Wagner coup attempt and allegedly killed its leader?

At first, Yevgeny Prigozhin showed that Putin is not the all powerful Czar many have imagined him to be and that you will face no repercussions from going against him. But afterwards, an apparent agreement between the two looked like the best remaining option as Prigozhin claimed loyalty to Putin while hanging all his problems with Russia’s military on the aforementioned “two old degenerates” Shoigu and Gerasimov. 

In the case that the most dangerous rebel bends the knee, it saps the power of whatever justifications to mutiny that Prigozhin stated before as well as motivation to seek vengeance by the Wagnerites. Even more important is that such a truce showed any future Prigozhins that there is room to negotiate instead of a fight to the death against Putin himself. 

Such a way out for powerful discontents is important for any dictatorship. Its legitimacy is held up by the force of arms instead of by free elections, but the same force has traditionally been applied to get rid of dictators as well. And in the minds of those closest to said arms, what reason would they have to support a dictator who gives them no exit strategy?

After this airplane crash, this may indeed be the question on the minds of those around Putin. From this moment on, any potential mutineer won’t have a change of heart as they know there’s no way out other than killing Putin before he kills them. Furthermore, if there was once an idea within Russia’s elite that Putin’s word was worth something, his word is now completely worthless.

Given such a scenario along with never quite knowing what will set the Czar pretender off, we may not be too far from the time that those remaining elites around Putin will judge their alliance with him as more dangerous than standing against him. And since Putin was unable to stop Prigozhin before this now worthless deal was reached, there is neither the threat of defeat nor potential of mercy to dissuade whoever decides to end this miserable dictatorship once and for all.

So it does not really matter whether Putin’s former chef is being cooked alive in Hell or delayed this one way trip through sacrificing a body double. Given Putin’s reaction to what could have been a resolved situation, we may not have seen the end of Prigozhin’s coup attempt just yet.

What can the West learn from Prigozhin?

That whatever guarantee Putin makes is now cheaper than the price of Russian oil sold to China means a re-evaluation for Western politicians who support negotiations in hopes of peace. Whatever so-called “peace treaty” is negotiated that gives Russia any Ukrainian land will last only as long as it takes for the former to learn from their past mistakes and regroup for the next offensive.

That hardly anyone in the Russian armed forces resisted Prigozhin’s march into Moscow, let alone the uninspired masses, shows us how much of a farce Putin’s grip on power really is within his own country. The same applies to his empty threats on the world stage that some officials have nevertheless taken quite seriously.

But now that his surrounding elite does not have the guarantee of an exit strategy should one of them challenge the direction of the war, this may be the reassurance that most in the West need to “go to the end” as the Rusich Group proclaimed.

Yet what may be the West's principal lesson from the Prigozhin incident is the impermanence of authoritarian stability. Dictatorships may project an image of unyielding strength, but they often rest on shaky foundations. As we have observed with the Prigozhin saga, the elite power struggles and infighting can rupture this façade, revealing vulnerabilities that the West can exploit.

This remains not just a lesson for dealing with Russia and China but a warning of what happens when unchecked tyranny in the form of a left or right wing authoritarian dictatorship gets established within the West itself. No matter how much we detest the other side, it is our flexibility from foundation to capstone that allows Western civilization (especially in the US) to keep the promise of actual liberty but it takes work on behalf of informed citizens to maintain such a structure.

The moment we fail in said maintenance, we can expect our own Prigozhin mutiny down the road, as by that point we will truly be in the bowels of a boggy swamp and unable to move under the muck of corruption and lawlessness that ogres like Prigozhin thrive in so well. 

First off, it's important to address that people and groups who have traditionally gone after Elon Musk are seen by his followers as representing the antithesis of what Musk stands for on all fronts. Where Musk represents a rebellious risk-taker with the will to power, his opponents are the Nietzschean last men (or last people to be politically correct) that have neither his tenancy nor charisma.

When these opponents scrutinize Musk, the unfortunate partisan nature of our attention based ecosystem means they will go after both the legitimate issues he brings up as well as those worthy of derision. Such is increasingly the case for most famously controversial figures in addition to Musk like Joe Rogan, Jordan Peterson, and of course “thug life” Donald Trump who mark themselves as being against the “uniparty establishment” and many of its values.

The result of this contrarian split is that when there are legitimate criticisms of Musk’s decisions that pose an existential threat, they are brushed aside as yet another political smear by out-of-touch NPR listening elitists. This mindset is not exclusive to the Elon Musk fan club, however, as those who would prefer Rogan, Peterson, or Trump share the same contempt for elites they sense are not living up to their place in the social hierarchy.

And the most important of these existential threats concern Musks’ private conversations with Vladimir Putin, as disclosed by former Under-Secretary of Defense for Policy, Colin Kahl, and further corroborated by an additional source to Ronan Farrow:

To the dismay of Pentagon officials, Musk volunteered that he had spoken with Putin personally. Another individual told me that Musk had made the same assertion in the weeks before he tweeted his pro-Russia peace plan, and had said that his consultations with the Kremlin were regular. (Musk later denied having spoken with Putin about Ukraine.) On the phone, Musk said that he was looking at his laptop and could see “the entire war unfolding” through a map of Starlink activity. “This was, like, three minutes before he said, ‘Well, I had this great conversation with Putin,’ ” the senior defense official told me. “And we were, like, ‘Oh, dear, this is not good.’ ”

It was very strange for me at first why Musk brought up an antiquated 2012 map of Ukraine in order to justify Russia annexing half the country, though the likeliest reason would have been this aforementioned contrarian group-think grasping at whatever it can to bring “peace in our times” in contrast to the “NPR establishment war hawks”. 

But with these new revelations of how close to Putin he was, it makes far more sense that this map and all the pro-Kremlin talking points were allegedly fed to Musk through such aforementioned conversations.

While it cannot ultimately be proven what exactly transpired in these conversations so as to call Elon Musk a Russian spy, the potential for danger is far greater than most spies in history were able to cause. Not only is there control of one of the greatest disseminators of information in history through the former Twitter now X, but he has the same level of control with the Starlink satellite system which has been a crucial tool within the Ukrainian military’s infrastructure. 

Already there have been cases where Starlink ceased to function after Ukrainian forces crossed through the front line, resulting in chaos from a lack of communications as well as an instance of having to retreat. In Farrow’s New Yorker article, American and Ukrainian officials told him “they believed that SpaceX had cut the connectivity via geofencing, cordoning off areas of access.”

It should be noted that there has not been the same repetition of this connectivity loss after Musk’s talks with the Pentagon last October and this June a deal has been struck between him and the Department of Defence. So far so good on the technological front, but Musk’s emphasis on “the best outcome” of compromising with Russia rather than sending more weaponry and equipment continues to resonate with those in opposition to the establishment.

There is also the threat that Musk can provide Putin with information about Starlink or other technological innovations. History shows much evidence that left wing high brow scientific intellectuals provided significant information to the Soviet Union during Stalin’s and this was not an issue of money but belief in doing the right thing for peace and their own country.

Destroying The Feedback Loop of Death

With the 2024 Presidential Election coming up, Ukraine is the dividing partisan line in the sand.  

Given the current atmosphere of mutual contrarianism, it does not matter whether Elon Musk is a Russian spy in the traditional sense since whatever influence he gets from Putin has already been in circulation through the same people who have rightfully stood alongside Musk, Rogan, and the like against censorship. 

When those occupying positions of influence censored or encouraged censorship during Covid, what reason is there for most people to trust them on the subject of Ukraine? It does not help that to the majority of people, Ukraine is as familiar to them as Chechnya was to Paulie Walnuts in “The Sopranos”.

All these Paulies of the United States that recognize a Tony Soprano outlaw energy within figures like Elon Musk, Joe Rogan, and Donald Trump help strengthen these outlaws’ already solidified stance on the Ukraine question from their righteous derision of the establishment in the form of liking, commenting, and reposting (RIP retweeting). 

This is the attention economy feedback loop of death. It destroys any beneficial ideas from seeping through as the popularity of counter-cultural outlaws depends on signaling what the people desire more than what you want them to desire. Should Trump become President, it may also end up destroying more and more lives with a regrouped Russia expanding into Europe as a potentially Isolationist US looks away. 

There is a similar kind of feedback loop going on within Russia which created this invasion in the first place, as Russian propaganda channels broadcasted false information of Ukraine’s willingness to be invaded primarily as a way to make Putin happy. As a result, Putin started to believe more and more in his own propaganda and the cycle was complete.

Like the other figures mentioned, Putin stands high above the noise of the attention economy, but unlike the others, his only redeeming qualities are the preservation of Amur Tigers and loyalty to his longtime oligarch friends. Unfortunately, the same Americans who know nothing about Ukraine and Russia think Putin turned Russia into a traditionalist paradise by comparison to the “Degenerate West”. 

In reality, Russia is nothing more than a far more degenerate gangster paradise where those close to the government can get away with rape and murder, and whose armed forces in this “Special Military Operation” are dying from alcoholism. Its influence on the rest of the world along with that of China is something any sensible person can reject without having to praise our current leadership here in the US. Yet due to Putin being “the enemy of my enemy”, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky gets far more reviled when Ukraine receives 2.5 percent of U.S. defense spending. 

The only way the anti establishment class can see the light on these kinds of issues is through the elevation of intelligent, talented, and charismatic personalities with some sense on this matter as well as the influence of those influential people open minded enough to listen.

But in terms of potential newcomers, nobody will pay attention to someone who is brilliant and forward-thinking but quiet enough about it to never get noticed. While on the other hand, those who are good at attracting attention are able to more successfully do so by already being a part of a social media bandwagon and all the rules of where to stand on each issue that come with it.

It is quite ironic that during a time of unprecedented access to information and people, most of the politically savvy ones with big audiences like Musk are pre-programmed in this way. But just as ironic is that those who recognize how dire this problem is due to the war have not used this same access to speak with those with enough influence who are willing to listen.

Well, the exception is Break The Rules of course, where thought leaders with influence are brought together for this exact purpose. Cheers!

On the last Break the Rules, genius animator and liberal feminist “TERF warrior” Nina Paley joined Jack the Perfume Nationalist and philosopher Chad Haag to discuss the end of traditional fairy tales in favor of what’s perceived to be female empowerment. The focus of this discussion was young actress Rachel Zegler of Disney’s upcoming “Snow White” remake who was hating on the source material for being dated and sexist as a stereotypical “damsel in distress” story.

During the stream, Nina brought up how she thought the show’s description implied that Zegler was a “damsel in distress” herself due to being in her early twenties and easily brainwashed to believe whatever is politically correct, only to now be on the receiving end of mob cancellation. 

For Nina, this was not a good reason to attack a dumb young girl, but after the stream she found that this actress’s naivete had a much darker side that was indeed worth confronting. 

Beyond the parroting of woke talking points online, Zegler was leading her pitchfork-wielding mob against former Mandalorian star Gina Carano after she made fun of using pronouns on Twitter and further clarified her stance by writing: “I’m not against trans lives at all. They need to find less abusive representation.”

J.K. Rowling was a target of Zegler’s as well for criticizing the term “people who menstruate”, though beyond celebrities, there was a call for violence against her ideological enemies as she tweeted: "elbowing a transphobe, stepping on a homophobe . the joys of walking thru NYC”. 

Instead of advocating for dialogue against bigotry, this corporate-friendly celebrity influencer is one of many such beings who encourages sticks and stones against words that hurt the identities she’s allied with. This has been an all too familiar paradigm where “punch a Nazi” goes far beyond anyone who would advocate for the positions of Adolf Hitler, and instead treats the slightest ridicule of one’s ideology as grounds for cruelty.

Nina’s got skin in the game herself as she’s been canceled online and in public for views on gender and womanhood which are similar to that of Rowling. A 2019 showing of her animated masterpiece Seder-Masochism was protested against by Trans Rights activists, though at least there was a screening to be held, unlike other instances of cowardice.

In addition to canceling her existing work, the crowdfunding website Indiegogo deplatformed Nina as well, without appeal, for going against the Terms of Service with her at the time in-progress “Agents of H.A.G.” comic book. While the specific rule Nina broke was never specified, what is clear from all these examples is that there’s a slow creep of what might as well be a social credit system where what you express can rob you of the ability to get paid.

Is Ignorance an Excuse?

Such is the cultural stupidity of today’s social media driven prolonged adolescence who cannot distinguish words from actions. An excuse given for Zegler could be “they know not what they do” as you would not ruin the life of a child for aping bad examples they were exposed to through continued brainwashing and peer pressure. But having the brain of a child does not excuse you for things that children are excused for.

One reason why you cannot compare the two is that especially from a younger age of around 3 to 11, you have a greater opportunity to imprint the right kind of “programming” in order for it to be that much more likely your daughter grows up to be a decent and responsible adult instead of hanging out with seven weirdos who aren’t even dwarves.

But there is much less of a chance that such changes will occur later in life as is the case with many of our current “young adult” demographic who have retained the sophistication of a child but without the child-like open mindedness, as their brain has been clogged up with too much garbage by that point.

Even if they act like grown babies to the extent of wearing diapers on the government's dime while waging “diaper jihad” against those who oppose them, society cannot be their babysitter.

An additional reason for not considering such mentality as an excuse is that this form of child-like ignorance has been the rule as opposed to the exception for most of society in history. This means that otherwise “innocent” people have been swayed into accepting or weaponized into participating in the worst of atrocities. This was not because these people were some sadistic criminal masterminds but precisely because they were dim, docile, or cowardly enough to go along with the program.

On its face, it’s absolutely ridiculous to compare history’s mass murderers and their enablers with ideological online mobs, but what unites them beyond the fanaticism of its adherents is the lack of heeding history’s warning of such mobs by a public with the memory of a goldfish. 

Fortunately in this recent case of the Snow White remake, as well as Bud Light among others, we are seeing a gutteral karmic pushback as many within the masses have grown tired of this paradigm and seeking their own mob justice. 

The Agency of Karma

The concept of Karma in Hinduism states that all of our actions will have reactions of some sort based on whether they were beneficial or harmful. This transpires through many lifetimes where the fruits of our actions keep us bound to Maya (perceived reality) through desiring an embodied state as human beings.

Given how impossible it is for us regular humans to know why someone is experiencing a particular situation in life, it makes no sense to speculate on such matters. But it's even more of an insult to life when we surrender our agency and superstitiously expect Karma to pull a “Deus Ex Machina” and take care of whichever societal malignancy rears its head. 

On the contrary, being apathetic to the mob while it has not yet come for us personally makes us little better than a willing accomplice. This apathy by itself is a form of ignorance brought on by short term feelings of being protected because of not (yet) being in the crosshairs of evil. 

Karmically (but also realistically) speaking, people “intelligent” and ignorant alike end up suffering through their inaction when the lack of retribution for wrongdoing gives that much more license for it to be spread as far as we allow it to. This way, equally ignorant agents like our Rachel Zegler are used as the instrument of punishment when none dare stand up to her.

While the elite liberal-minded opinion makers of Western society are in theory supposed to be the ones to stand up for its values, it’s only recently that figures like J.K. Rowling and Bari Weiss have been in the spotlight. 

Much more commonly, those aligned with the Right and anti establishment circles have been the quickest to defend particular Western ideals. But the problem is that in the case of the conservative Right, there’s been a rising tribalistic contrarianism towards any policy favored by their political opponents.

And the dissident anti establishment sphere is no better on the whole in their dismissal of our institutions without any idea of what their alternative system of choice means in the long run.

Such tribalistic thinking ends up creating a closed loop, but it is the same kind of loop around most of the “beautiful people” who may see Rowling and Weiss at a gala ball, and may even voice their agreement to them in private. Yet in public, most continue playing lip service to their young and vicious anti-liberal darlings like Rachel Zelger while opposing their tribal enemies’ ideas out of the same sense of contrarianism.

While not being a Deux Ex Machina granting instant justice, Karma will chew up and spit out those who remain conveniently silent amid fanatical censorship, by having the problem get worse till something is done about it. Though the longer it takes for more people to become aware, the worse these problems will get.

Hopefully the ones who have already started to push back like Rowling will at least be reborn as some great sorceress with a pet snowy owl.

The Duty to Resist Ignorance

When it does come to the more anti-liberal sentiment on the Right, the mobs of what looks to be karmic justice going after Rachel Zegler are very different from Nina Paley, in that they do not require knowledge of Zegler’s more nefarious actions in order to go after her for thinking the old “Snow White” is sexist and dated. While coming from a place of being sick and tired of woke ideology, there is always the opportunity for such energy to grow into what is just as ugly as the weaponization of social justice against those who don’t tow the line.

The more “responsible liberals” in places of influence remain silent, those further on the right will look around and find nobody who will criticize whenever things go too far. Those potential liberals will be too scared to adopt any of their good ideas let alone be seen to positively engage with them. 

In any case, all manifestations of such energy when not directed in a clear headed way come with a high degree of ignorance that Zegler and her ilk have embodied as well as encouraged. Going back to Hinduism, we can find the embodiment of this quality in Apasmara, the dwarf of ignorance. 

This little dwarf cannot be killed because doing so would destroy the whole point of our attaining wisdom through effort, thus devaluing the knowledge we have gained. Instead, Apasmara must be subdued as is symbolized by the god of destruction (and formlessness) Shiva dancing the “cosmic dance” on top of his little dwarf body. 

Likewise, when we attain wisdom, it allows us to have more of an overhead view so that the problems of ignorance are seen as the pesky little cosmic dwarves they really are, and can likewise be treated before the dwarves grow into uncontrollable giants. 

Yet even if we were to subdue the outer ignorance to our greatest capacity, this dwarf remains buried inside of each and every one of us. And while it's nice to sit back and observe karmic justice done to those who in many ways deserved it when they “die by the mob”, such an attachment to schadenfreude is quite the nutritious meal for our little Apasmara.

Ultimately though, whatever pleasure we get from the misery of those who empower hate mobs against differences of opinion is a small karmic price to pay for defending the right of others to express themselves. And like the example that Nina set, we should distinguish between what’s worth defending and what is ultimately dumb but far less harmful. 

On the last Break The Rules, the silver tongued charismatic monarchist Curtis Yarvin returned with Vlad Davidzon of the Atlantic Council to speak for the third time about the Russia Ukraine War right before Vlad made his way to Kyiv.

While there were many tangential conversations on the nature and motivation of organizations like the Atlantic Council regarding this war, the most important point had to do with why Ukraine is, as Curtis said, “fighting to the last Ukrainian” rather than giving up their sovereignty for safety. The second important question had to do with why Russia (and by extension China) acquiring a larger global presence is an existential threat to the world as a whole.

Both of these questions relate back to the nature of Russia and why an unfamiliarity with this nation in its current form makes it hard to understand why being within its bear hug is a fate less preferable to death.

The Master-Slave Morality

From a philosophical perspective, we can turn to Friedrich Nietzsche and his “master-slave” morality where in the slaves end up succumbing to their masters rather than being given death when liberty is nowhere to be found. Creating their own system of meaning and morality within these confines so as to be “realistic” about the situation and live another day may work for some, but it has not worked for the Ukrainians no matter how much sense people like Curtis try to talk into them.

There is an ironic parallel here as well with problems many on the reactionary right see happening in the West from a spineless acceptance of “the new normal”. Yet these same people show confusion at the sight of Ukrainians who put their lives on the line to defend their freedom (it must be Zelenskyy the Jewish puppet master hypnotizing them).

Perhaps part of it has to do with the pro-transgender propaganda Vlad alluded to during the later part of our conversation, where trans medic Sarah Ashton-Cirillo has been propped up as the Ukrainian military spokesperson, despite the nature of the Ukrainian armed forces and its people being as far from woke as you can get.

This may honestly be a great miscalculation on the part of the Ukrainian government as this false impression functions like a giant Bud Light campaign to further lose support from people who are sick and tired of wokeness.

And at the same time, there is much doubt as to how much those into woke culture will even care about the war beyond a few slacktivistic Ukraine-supporting avatars once they get distracted by the next “current thing”.

Regardless, rather than seeing Ukraine as a Western puppet state which will mandate Drag Queen Story Hour or a state which is no different from Putin’s Russia, it's important to recognize Ukraine’s trajectory so that we can understand why it has the Master morality instead of the Slave.

After Ukraine was loosened from the Soviet grip, there was indeed the famous corruption that its opponents like to equate with or elevate above that of the Russian Federation, but with a very important difference. Unlike Russia where all the oligarchs are owned by and answer to Putin, the Ukrainian oligarchs were their own independent “fiefdoms” of local corruption who answered to no one above them. 

This combined with a free press meant that the kinds of crimes that went unpunished with in Russia were far less likely to occur in Ukraine, if only for the reason that there was no Czar pretender like Putin whose power could shield the worst of humanity from prosecution when word would get out about the misdeeds of such groups of people.

Life (and Death) Under Russian Occupation

To illustrate why a life occupied by Russia would be worth fighting against with all one’s might, we can look at miscarriages of justice which don’t just affect big shots like businessman Mikhail Khodorkovsky, but the civilians who, some Westerners may imagine, can skate by freely so long as they don’t try to overthrow the government. 

One such example is of an Alexander from the city of Izhevsk whose three-story dream house for the whole family which he built himself was taken and demolished when it met the eye of a developer friendly with the city administration. 

Or you might be one of the 220 civilians that end up murdered, raped, assaulted, or just robbed if you’re lucky, not by a gang of outlaw thugs but thugs protected by the law. This is the unfortunate case with the henchmen of Sergei Tsapok whose family is one of the wealthiest landowners in the vast Krasnodar Territory of southern Russia (including Sochi which hosted the 2014 Winter Olympics). Regardless of any criminal proceedings against the marauders, all were subsequently closed. 

But to really understand the closeness such wanton criminals have with the centralized Russian state, Tsapok had been feasting “Goodfellas style” on caviar, barbecue, and crabs from his prison, finally being apprehended after offing a rival. Unlike Goodfellas, however, this hit on his rival was also the mass murder of twelve people including a one-year-old girl who was doused with gasoline and burned alive.

Such a monstrous action would never be able to skirt justice in Ukraine because if there was a local corrupt oligarch whose gang terrorized the village like in the aforementioned examples, freedom of the press (which is sorely lacking in Russia) would allow news of this to spread and create a Maidan style reaction so as to punish such people rather than feed them caviar.

True, this was not always the case in Ukraine as it took time to rid itself of its Soviet cocoon with its KGB ties, and this is not to say that the country is now some butterfly of incorruptibility either. 

The real test is whether people can be galvanized to stand up against the kind of crimes which destroy the lives of innocents and that those criminals are not safely linked up to a pyramid which goes all the way to the dictator whose word is law. 

But even if the Ukrainians were to somehow accept the rule of such a dictator as the new normal and concede to the Russians out of self preservation, it is a mistake to believe that there would even be a self to preserve under Russian occupation as the government’s only guarantee of legitimacy now is to keep acquiring more territory.

So a young Ukrainian man being spared a battle against the aggressor would in time find himself drafted at gunpoint to fight as the aggressor himself against the adjacent piece of land like Poland or the Baltics whose occupants would meet the same fate until the whole wretched machine is finally destroyed. And we have already seen examples of this with the occupied territories of Donetsk being drafted into the Russian army to fight against Ukraine.

But at that point, how many lives and (to a far lesser importance) resources would have been used up to stop it when compared to funding a voluntary resistance against a force which is only starting to learn from its early mistakes?

Curtis’s answer is none, as long as we draw a red line when it comes to the Anglosphere which he would prefer to be kept out of Russia’s or China’s grasp.

Everything else would be up for the taking.

The Price of Isolationism

Even if we were to gamble on a further expansion of Russia being avoided due to NATO’s Article Five scaring Putin into stopping at Ukraine, such fears would not be as effective against other powers like China who would see losing Ukraine as evidence of declining Western hegemony and an opportunity to finally expand into Taiwan. And as far as what there is to fear from China, we need only look at what Russia has been learning from their style of governance when it comes to social credit as applied to their invasion effort. 

While Covid demonstrated that some in our Western nations have been too giddy about implementing China-style surveillance, Russia has taken things to the next level with their digital draft registry and the punishments that come with disobeying it:

“Regardless of whether a person has a Gosuslugi account, or even uses the internet, they will still be penalized for failing to report to the recruitment office once a digital draft notice is issued. Those penalties include a ban on leaving the country, as well as on driving, buying and selling real estate, taking out loans, and registering a small business. Regional governments will also now be able to add other restrictions to the list, such as suspending social benefits.”

In this sense, the dehumanizing nature of the “globalist technocracy” that Alex Jones loves shouting against is only too alive and well within China and its vassal state Russia. 

Those in the West like Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau admire China’s “basic dictatorship” so it may not be a great leap to say that when the Canadian medical system recommends assisted suicide to patients with illness or disability, they are imbuing this same inhuman energy. And while Vancouver General Hospital apologized for the most recent incident as Canadians tend to do (unlike Russia or China), how long till these suggestions are normalized if not mandated should the China / Russia model reign supreme?

Do we want more of the same technocracy in all the places where America’s influence has been felt since the end of World War II? Or how about the well connected thugs who can rape and murder as they please?

If Ukraine is taken along with the Baltics followed by Eastern Europe and Northern Europe, there is no reason for Putin not to use his now much more powerful army in Western Europe and beyond. After all, if we are so terrified of Russia’s nukes, why should we risk angering Putin too much by mounting an actually threatening offensive even in the case of Germany and France? Next would be Alaska as it would certainly not be worth it to defend such an inhospitable place with the threat of nuclear annihilation. And then, perhaps California is declared to be a historical part of Russia, though the Chinese may insist on giving that one over to them instead.

But even if the US, Canada, and England were to erect their “Maginot Line'' against the aggressors, Russia and China’s acquisition of more countries means more influence abroad due to the larger amount of bargaining chips. Over time, such influence can easily pierce the shell of an isolationist Anglosphere that Curtis drew his red line around as the last bastion of Western freedom.

As far as the American (actually free) part of the Anglosphere goes, there are certain localities like Portland Oregon that intimidate jurors to free Antifa, but US citizens have the right to leave this accursed place for states which actually respect the law. The equivalent of Kyle Rittenhouse being acquitted would never happen in Russia, and justice was able to prevail as those higher up could not command the system to do otherwise. Such is not the case for Putin’s Russia or Xi Jinping’s China, and gets to be less of a case in countries which are influenced in the same direction. 

Regardless of the small victories mainly in the US, it won’t be an easy fight to restore liberty where we find it wanting in the West, but the bravery of Ukrainians fighting for their freedom shows us that the principles which not all of our elites may live up to are nevertheless alive and well in places which know what it's like to live without it. They are the masters willing to die rather than be slaves to those whose system of governance is beneath them. 

On the last Break The Rules, esoteric “information trafficker” Drutang returned to speak about Elon Musk being a false idol pushed on the public to accept an eventual one world government through linking up with his AI Neuralink.

And while his predictions are more on the esoteric side which fellow guests Ben Avery and Gnostic Informant were open minded towards, we can already see elements of this today in “Marks of the Beast” through which more people are designating their tribal affiliation. 

While an obvious connection can be made with the social credit system in China where Musk’s gigafactory produces the “highest quality Teslas”, this mark from the New Testament's Book of Revelation can broadly apply to any identification required to buy and sell.

Today, this identification comes down to whether you’re in the designated establishment or “anti establishment” group with neither offering nuance or a path that makes sense without reference to the other. Both of these unfortunate choices contain good and bad elements, but the Mark of the Beast really kicks in through cultivating these bad elements by doing the opposite of whatever your tribal opponent does, even if it happens to be good.

In the end, ignorance takes over and you cease to be a thinking individual. Perfect for whatever AI technocracy may be headed our way.

Elon Musk on Russia VS Ukraine

But before looking too much into the future, the biggest and most important example of this tribal marking at present has to do with Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and how those against the establishment end up in the opposite position due to not wanting to “Support the Current Thing”.

Elon Musk fits into this dynamic by advocating for appeasement through giving up Ukrainian border territories in the name of peace. Without any additional information concerning Russia it makes sense why this is such a clear cut answer for those who consider themselves to be on Musk’s side against the hawkish establishment. 

Though as a reminder to these people, the whole problem has to do with any peace treaty Putin were to sign not being worth the paper it’s written on, since after taking a break to lick his wounds, he’ll continue grabbing as much land as we allow him to.

As Euromaiden Press pointed out in relation to the polls Musk conducted on his “Ukraine Russia Peace Plans”:

“Let’s imagine that Russia wins in Ukraine, as he proposes: Ukraine abandons NATO aspirations and Russia keeps occupying the territories it stole from Ukraine. Under these conditions, Ukraine will be largely cut off from the sea, and Russia would continue its aggression and gradually turn Ukraine into a client state like Belarus.

This would allow Russia to get stronger, more powerful, and have more potential to attack not only Ukraine but other countries in the vicinity, as it would be emboldened by the West’s refusal to defend the values of self-determination and freedom it proclaims fundamental to democracy, and Ukraine’s resistance to this authoritarian horde would be undermined.”

That Musk included Crimea as a part of Russia in his peace plan due to it having been so since 1783 begs the question… why not also include Poland or the Baltic States which were incorporated into the Russian Empire around the same time? 

Furthermore, Musk using a 2012 map of Ukraine to justify the proposed peace split due to half of it being pro-Russia ignores the dynamics of voter fraud and suppression as well as the very different reality of the time compared to the 2014 Maidan Revolution (not to mention the 2022 Russian invasion). 

Such a world view does not necessarily have to stem from secret Russian loyalty, but is very likely shaped by how the other side reacts in opposition to everything else Musk happens to say.

One recent example of this has been a media pushback against Musk criticizing the New York Times article which excused South African Communist politician Julius Malema for singing “Kill the Boer!” And because any discussions of anti-white racism or South African farm murders are tossed under the rug by Musk’s media opponents, anything this same group might say which is true regarding the Russia Ukraine war is automatically discarded as enemy propaganda. 

Such “enemy propaganda” includes the assertion that Musk’s friendship with fellow investor David Sacks influences his geopolitical decisions due to Sacks’s commitment to the appeasement of Russia. Another would be criticizing Musk for threatening to stop supplying Ukraine with his Starlink after a Kyiv diplomat told him to “fuck off.” as well as allegedly restricting the use of Starlink for controlling drones in the region. 

Genius and Ignorance

But this would not be the first time in history that someone of Elon Musk’s intellectual level or higher has been deceived. We can go back to Albert Einstein who fell head over heels for a Stalinist spy months after the US created its first nuclear weapon, and it is still not known what possible US secrets a love stricken Einstein could have divulged.

And in a comparison having to do less with love and more with prejudice, Musk replied in a complementing way about Mel Gibson’s physique to a tweet which proposed a choice between hating “the Js” (Jews) or doing Adrenochrome, a long time staple within online memetic lore as a chemical compound extracted from child sacrifice which gives powers to “the elites”.

While there’s no evidence for this chemical having any such potency, the practice of gaining power through child sacrifice can historically be linked to the Phonecians engaging in similar practices which were very much forbidden in the Torah. Despite this, Jewish people have been on the receiving end of the antisemitic blood libel conspiracy that this tweet highlights instead of focusing on figures actually engaging in (mock) blood rituals and cozy with all sorts of celebrities like the Serbian “Scarlet Woman” Marina Abramovic. 

So it is disappointing that someone with more cultural responsibility like Musk would let that remark slide. This is not to say that the alternative should be getting woke policed over anything slightly edgy, but for many younger men who feel demoralized and accused of being “Nazis” for disagreeing with leftist ideology, at a certain point it becomes “I’ll show you Nazi…” 

Though just like with Einstein and his weakness for Soviet lady spies, we have examples of genius innovators whose Jew hatred was without question like Henry Ford who published “The International Jew” in his acquired newspaper “The Dearborn Independent” and was mentioned by name in Hitler’s “Mein Kampf”. 

Another figure of note who was even more of Nazi than Ford was real life SS Nazi Wernher Von Braun who developed America’s space program. As Drutang mentioned, Von Braun also happened to write a Sci Fi book where a technocratic leader of Mars was interestingly known by the title of “Elon”. That Von Braun was also a friend of rocket genius Jack Parsons who was a disciple of “The Great Beast 666” Aleister Crowley shows us something very important about human nature. 

Rejecting the Mark of The Beast

The cultural figures which we neatly place in the category of good VS bad is a form of idol worship that forces us to accept everything about this figure’s world view if we want to stay in the right tribe. This is despite the above examples where many of our world icons are much more complicated and despite their greatness in one area, can be deluded in another.

That such tribalization ignores these nuances and leads to hatred and blind obedience is the true mark of the beast, as it makes unthinking beasts out of individuals. 

The right way out is to hold nobody as a cult of personality and instead encourage the good qualities while condemning the bad. Some like in relation to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine may not be obvious at first, which is especially why there should be communication with those from the opposite side of the issue no matter how much you may like someone such as Elon Musk.

Perhaps paving such a message forward can have far reaching effects, especially when so far very few people have attempted to break the Mark of the Beast and release otherwise brilliant people from their echo-chamber.

Last Thursday was the first Break The Rules in front of a live audience with philosopher and BTR Regular Dr. Jason Reza Jorjani speaking on the nature of aliens, religion, and artificial intelligence. It was timely, coming just a day after Congress' intriguing UFO hearing, but its greatest significance has to do with identifying and balancing the forces of creativity and order which Jason presents as the two types of “aliens” that humanity has encountered. 

On one hand, you’ve got the mostly sadistic but orderly tall blonde “Nordics” who consider themselves to be the peak of evolution and see their destiny as ruling over mankind, having already done so under the disguise of various so-called “gods”.

On the other hand, you’ve got a shape-shifting “super-consciousness” whose form reflects anything which resonates with the human imagination, be it elves, fairies, or the garden variety gray alien.

The Nordics

According to Jason, the first group of athletic Aryans in tight jumpsuits are not from some distant star system like certain contactees have claimed, but are the transhumanist progenitors of escapee Nazis who traveled back in time to create the moon, seeded the earth by crossbreeding their DNA with lower hominids, and ran this traditionalist society as its "gods" with the strictest of hierarchical order. 

They are the totalitarian deities worshiped in the ancient nations of Babylon, India, and Greece, where they are respectfully known as the Anunnaki, the Devas, and Olympians. Jason goes even further, however, and links the Nordic elite to the “Elohim” or “gods” of the Old Testament with the skyfather Yahweh as their ironfisted leader. This remains the same case with Islam and Christianity which Jason sees as being the perfect religions for an obedient unthinking society.

Under the guise of “Perennialism” making the case that all religions speak about the same thing, the idea is for humanity to keep their faiths while seeing these Nordics as galactic representatives of the one true God. And this totalitarian religious superstructure is the society that Jason sees as now creeping up on the horizon to "save us from ourselves" by reimposing their fascist dictatorship on a public that's to be stripped of any technological aid beyond what would not be out of place at Medieval Times. 

The Trickster

In contrast to the orderly Nordics is the chaotic energy embodying the “Trickster” archetype.

Renowned Swiss psychoanalyst Carl Jung identified this Trickster as residing at the borderline of conscious and unconscious thought, such as the Greek god Hermes which Jung saw as “the communicator, the guide of souls on a mystical and psychological journey that sought to unite male and female elements.”

As their appearances in the form of elves and fairies reflected the woodland environment around what most people called home, the appearance of shiny space suits and glittering flying saucers is understandably more suitable for modern sensibilities. 

Regardless of the form they take, Dr. Jorjani sees these trickster entities as the one thing that the aforementioned Nordics are truly scared of due to their power and influence being above any level of societal control. Such a guide for humanity is not guaranteed to be gentle and has in many legends brought human pride down a peg when hubris reached critical mass, so it is not surprising that the Nordics with their plans of total domination would serve as a perfect foil for the Trickster as well.

Imagination and Fear

While many of these above-mentioned redpills may be the size of suppositories, there is a more holistic way to view this information even for those who have firmly nailed themselves to the ground of currently explainable reality.

The kind of control which these Nordics want to impose is the state of humanity at a time when liberalism in its classic sense is given up on, and you don’t necessarily need superhuman beings to come into the picture for there to be a charismatic leader that most humans would gladly give up their liberty to in exchange for order.

Historian and Political Philosopher Hannah Arendt who wrote “The Origins of Totalitarianism” saw this kind of transaction as the elimination of any aspiration or creative undertaking which sustains and renews the human world. As she goes on to say:

“No ideology which aims at the explanation of all historical events of the past and at mapping out the course of all events of the future can bear the unpredictability which springs from the fact that men are creative, that they can bring forward something so new that nobody ever foresaw it.”

This power of our imagination has been the crucial link to inspiration from this otherworldly realm inhabited by strange and mischievous creatures, and such artistic tendencies will always get in the way of a clean cut trajectory as much as the idea of human dignity itself. But while these Nordics have not yet arrived to claim their godly inheritance, there are less sophisticated representatives of this totalitarian tendency in the here and now, specifically that of Putin’s Russia.

While the short Russian monkey man of Vladimir Putin may be far from the tall blonde ideal of these time traveling overlords, there is a simian similarity in how his recent actions have aped the alleged progenitor of the Nordics… that being Adolf Hitler himself. While too many historians have cried wolf when summoning the Fuhrer as a comparison to whatever politician they hate, the example in this case is much more appropriate not even due to Putin as much as to how the civilized world shows fear towards him, and such a level of fear may be enough to allow Russia an unchallenged invasion of Poland and beyond. 

During the Congressional hearing on UFOs, it was mentioned how superior the technology of these crafts witnessed by those within the military is to any identified as our own, and the overall feeling which has pervaded our media is that of learned helplessness towards alien aggressors whose flying saucer citadels reduce our civilization to rubble. Even if a plucky gang of misfits manages to save the day by destroying the mothership, the visual effects budget has already gone to decimating New York City and Washington DC long before this happy ending. In a similar way, the approach within the media and public consciousness towards Russia was one whose first expectation was for President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to flee at the first sign of trouble from an obviously “superior” enemy. 

Even when the long boasted Russian technology is seen to be just as real as the aforementioned alien invasion films, there is still a strong element within our opportunistic and cowardly elites that does not want to push Putin too far or he might really hurt someone. 

In terms of the would-be followers of the Nordics, Dr. Jorjani points towards Russian people as prime candidates to be ordered around without question so long as they believe in the unquestioning superiority of their new leaders. The cowardice of those in the West goes ten times for many of these people who were taught from their childhoods onwards that they are nothing but followers whose fate has been written out in the brutal conditions bereft of any personal dignity. This has unfortunately been the case from the time their ancestors were in chains to the European powers of the nobility who ruled over the Russian Empire that Putin seeks to resurrect.

But here is where imagination comes in to save the day once again, since by utilizing those mischievous powers of the Trickster, we are able to see through the naked clothes of the emperor, Nordic or Monkey alike.

While Dr. Jorjani sees a doomed West in the form of a Fascistic reaction to leftism that will welcome the Nordic overlords with open arms, the number of people who would rather join his rebel alliance is one which may be underestimated. When compared to how many Russians, Chinese, and other denizens of dictatorships may be quick to submit, the Western power of imagination has shown itself to be too in league with the mischievous Jester of the liminal realm as to humbly submit in full seriousness. 

Embracing our inner Trickster and Nordic

While our particular problems with crime, censorship, and loneliness need to be addressed and worked through, there are enough people in the West who are growing aware of their relationship to the Trickster as well as the need to work on cultivating a healthy relationship with their orderly Nordic side as well.

Just like the polar gradient of Dionysus and Apollo elucidated by Friedrich Nietzsche in “The Birth of Tragedy”, both the chaotically inspirational and the clean cut orderly natures exist to certain degrees within us and must be made aware of lest one assumes full control over our fate. 

But in an “as above so below” way, the interplay of these two elements does not have to be politely contained within pure allegory but could very likely exist as actual forces that will do battle outside of us as well as within us. Such ideas are present within Tibetan Buddhist master Chogyam Trungpa’s book “Transcending Madness: The Experience of the Six Bardos”, where the planes of existence are seen as both mental states as well as cosmological realities. So there is room to be reborn on a more advanced planet with god-like powers, but at the same time, one's advancement on the path to understanding means that the buck stops with how you think and act regardless of the situation you find yourself in.

Should we live in a planet whose greatest challenges have already presented themselves to us or one where the elves and fairies are summoned by neo-shaman-wizards to do battle with Nordic battlecruisers, it all comes back to how we personally deal with the situation at hand.

Can we learn to listen to the collective unconscious so as to stay out of the traps that both the Nordics and Tricksters have in store for us? Only if we are imaginative and brave enough, which in reality is the same thing. 

Yes, elves are real. But most of us won’t see them in the woods anymore as we spend most time staring at the enchanted dopamine drip fairyland of our screens.

Pornographic actress and online influencer Cherry Crush is one such “elf” making bank on TikTok livestreams where she eats or acts out reactions based on paid-for virtual objects which are gifted to her by mostly lonely men.

Cherry often sports her elf-like anime inspired aesthetic while acting like, in her own words, “ʕ •ᴥ•ʔ Your very own AI Tamagotchi”, which for us 90s kids was the original keychain pocket pet that’s apparently still around and has recently experienced a sizable growth in popularity. But this is just the latest incarnation of an already established trend more commonly seen with VTubers (Virtual Streamers) who use a digital avatar instead of their face in order to convey simple emotions, many of which are also anime inspired and have grown enormous fan bases. 

Despite Cherry’s robot-like way of acting being labeled as cringe by the naysayers, the engagement speaks for itself, but what is it about the anime inspired e-girl elf aesthetics which drives this engagement in the first place?

Elf of the Self

Leaving the other 32 valid genders aside for a second and focusing on heterosexual men, Swiss psychoanalyst Carl Jung wrote about how most of the fellas long for a sense of completion by finding their “anima” or “the totality of the unconscious feminine psychological qualities” and project those qualities on potential love interests. When there is less opportunity for this interaction to happen outside of the virtual, it is understandable that such projection will be taken advantage of by online entities like Cherry Crush who will best mirror this longing while cutting out anything that gets in the way of instant gratification. 

But these aesthetics being of a level beyond merely human point towards an equally strong longing within men towards the realm of fantasy always at work in our collective unconscious. 

Long before the internet and e-girls, the fascination with gods and lesser entities was an instrumental part of life for most pre-Christian cultures, but even after crosses dotted the tallest structures of most European villages, there remained a pagan superstition when it came to these spectral beings. Depending on the culture, Christianity either demonized and drove these fairy and elves to ever remoter places, or they were “Christianized” and lived more peacefully alongside the now dominant religion which was especially the case for Ireland. 

There were even cases where springs inhabited by nymphs became holy places to worship the Virgin Mary, though these entities of beautiful young women did not always explicitly express themselves as such and seemed to adapt to this new identity over time. 

Such shape shifting shows us how the creative power of the collective unconscious reflects the expectations and desires of those who encounter it within their mind or allegedly in the real world. It is no different with the “alien” visitations of modern times according to ufologist and internet pioneer Jacques Vallée who wrote about the cultural and temporal context affecting how these beings look.

Anime Aliens

Should we open ourselves up to the possibility that such collective experiences of otherworldly phenomena were not fabrications (even if they were “hallucinations”), there would be no reason for such beings not to make themselves known through the pencils of Japanese artists as well. 

While of course this would not be limited to the Land of the Rising Sun, it is unlikely to be a coincidence that Japan’s ways of depicting girls have resonated with the entire world as an online ideal which ladies like Cherry Crush or the “Gamer Girl Bathwater” Belle Delphine stylistically adapted into their own persona.

The daimonic power of such design exhibits degrees of sophistication based on how imaginative and sophisticated the creators and artists themselves are, or if we attribute everything to the muses, how clean the lens of their mind’s eye is to be inspired in the first place. So it makes sense that you can experience a more realistic persona in anime characters such as Chihiro from Hayao Miyazaki’s “Spirited Away” or Mima Kirigoe from Satoshi Kon’s “Perfect Blue” than any of the elf-like characters a three dimensional e-girl portrays to her simps.

Such a lack of depth has been a general trend online with brightly colored excuses for children’s entertainment contaminating the iPads of neglected children worldwide, but it touches every lowest common denominator piece of content in a race to the bottom of the quick dopamine hit.

This becomes a time trap and money-suck for men who gave up on testing themselves in a game they feel there is no hope of winning, with both simp and seductress encouraging each other to discard pieces of their humanity leaving nothing but a self-abasing robotic desire on both sides.

Integrating the Shadow Forest

But even at the abject level of interaction with these e-girls, there’s a comparison to be made with the aforementioned world of elves and fairies, as frequent myths speak of men seduced by such beings in the mysterious forest only to find themselves never heard from again.

But there are also myths such as that of “Thomas the Rhymer” who was carried off by the "Queen of Elfland" only to return the gift of prophecy. 

Yet this transcendent journey does not require a physical forest to get spirited away from and return, as it equally applies to the Jungian integration of one’s shadow self which is made of the suppressed aspects of our subconscious. 

In this same way, beautiful elvish girls are the unconscious feminine Anima seducing men to step into the chaotic forest of the Shadow. And Thomas's gift of prophecy from such a journey is akin to the foresight granted to humans by the Titan Prometheus, whose name signifies "forethought," through the act of stealing the “fire of the gods”. 

To prophesize is to reach a higher level of utilizing the same imagination which inspires all of our creative actions, and in doing so helps to shape reality itself. 

And in a smaller but no less significant way, those unexaggerated faces of women that men have gazed into lovingly since time immemorial contain this same aspect of the fairy who beckons you into her mysterious forest. And this siren song has kept a good number of men going for the same amount of time to shape their local reality through personal and collective accomplishments. 

But with instant virtual gratification there is nothing to create and nothing to accomplish save for working to make enough simp-bucks for Cherry Crush to meow at you from the comfort of her luxury pod. Can such a life for both sides even be called human by that point? Yet with relationships being in such a sorry state as they are today, it is understandable as to why some men will go down this unfortunate path when they feel that all the others have been closed off.

Such is the “simpdom” of our societal dis-ease, which is the current challenge for males and females (31 other genders set aside) to overcome.

That most will overcome such a difficult situation with the way our minds have been altered by social media is unlikely. But contained within this downward spiral is the antidote for those who are paying attention as we come to understand what causes such a state of discord for both sexes to begin with.

Going beyond even worthwhile relationships, the internet as a whole is our digitally projected shadow forest which is very much high risk and high reward depending on how we use it. For the multitudes of future stimuli junkies at the beck and call of the latest Cherry Crush, there will be the few who become extremely selective with how they venture into these digital woods and use the opportunity of having such unprecedented access to instantaneous information to its full extent.

And the most wonderful unexpected things may happen at this dividing time when those aware enough to build loving relationships and expand their consciousness find themselves to be the only ones mentally capable of shaping our reality.

Just like with Trump, most of the corporate media are once again focusing on aspects of Robert F. Kennedy Jr. which make him out to be a hero among people who do not feel represented by the establishment.

Regardless of your thoughts on vaccines, the tendency has so far been to assign the “anti vax” label right next to Q-Anon instead of at least working with the less clickbait driven designation of RFK wanting more vaccine regulation and testing.

Even with his latest off-the-record dinner conversation on Covid-19 being, as Kennedy said, “intentionally or not” ethnically targeted to spare Jews and Chinese, journalists reacting to it could anyhow try to break through the cult of personality by addressing the tests which RFK claims to back this up. This way it would not feel like there’s something to hide.

Same should be the case with his follow-up claim of Ukrainian biolabs collecting Russian DNA for bioweapon production, as these facilities were available for anyone to inspect and Russia had every opportunity to voice concern that it was being denied access to the research going on there before the war. Not to mention that in Russia and Ukraine most people are an ethnic mix of both (try and find me a pure Russian or Ukrainian).

But the problem is that even with a higher level of responsible reporting separating the wheat from the chaff, most people will still gloss over it in favor of a more heterodox position. This is not surprising given how we were misled about the various aspects of Covid and people were deplatformed for questioning whatever was deemed “the facts”.

Such an attitude was also commonplace in the 60s, 70s, and 80s when it came to the counter-culture’s contrarian perception of the USSR, though in that case the mainstream media was actually right in how it portrayed the Soviets. Which is to say that while it’s especially important to question the mainstream narrative in light of any suppression, it's equally important to question the opposing information as well.

Now with Elon Musk’s Twitter and the potential to limit the Biden Administration’s influence on social media companies, the censorship dam has partially fractured, but the kind of water which bursts forth is contaminated with a good deal of propaganda. Though this is not at all to say that tech sites (or even worse the government) should decide what political inconveniences get filtered out.

Across the Rogan-verse

What does need to be encouraged, on the other hand, is critical thinking with access to different points of view. While a lofty goal for most people, this is more realistic to influence media personalities who have an outsized impact on the culture, such as Joe Rogan. While those on the political extremes are more likely to be against helping Ukraine, if not outright supporting Russia, there are also people like Rogan who, for all the good he has done, unfortunately end up entertaining many of the same talking points by being more around people within the anti establishment side.

Given what transpired with Covid and the media’s reaction to Joe’s own views, this is again an understandable move for a person who would be the first to admit that foreign policy is not his specialty. 

Unlike the far left and far right political fringe, Rogan has been liberal minded and against authoritarian overreach, while at the same time valuing self defense and the cultivation of strength. Enough people have resonated with such a common sense attitude to have made The Joe Rogan Experience the most listened to podcast in the world, and introduced many (including myself) to some of the best comedians, ancient civilization discussions, and a resounding takedown of the illiberal identity-based leftist expansion within our schools, government, and cultural institutions.

When it comes to RFK’s appearance on Joe’s podcast, many of the same common sense views on censorship and rightful skepticism (but not rejection) of Big Pharma were on display, but just so the grapes don’t taste too sweet, his anti-NATO pro-Russia isolationism made an appearance as well.

Kennedy cited the so-called “pledge” the US allegedly gave to Russia for NATO to never go into Ukraine back in the 90s as a justification of Russian invasion. However, there has never been any internationally recognized treaty by the NATO member states which would halt Eastward expansion regardless of whatever a US official may have privately said to Gorbachev in the 90s.

There’s no power in any kind of pledge of this nature since American foreign policy changes with new administrations. Furthermore, the US never forced any country to join this defensive alliance, though perhaps to RFK it would be hard to imagine how any of these former Eastern Bloc nations would be scared of Russian expansion given such “friendly” relations they had last century.

Lastly, all NATO member states would have to unanimously approve of a newcomer being accepted into the fold, so one would have to believe that all these countries bend the knee to whatever America wants but Russia has no agency to influence a defensive approach on their part. 

Similar justifications for Russia’s invasion were offered by RFK on Lex Fridman’s podcast, but unlike Rogan who is influenced on foreign affairs through those within his circle, Lex is from the USSR and would be informed enough regarding Kennedy’s claims of “14,000 ethnic Russian deaths” as well as the aforementioned NATO promise, so as to (politely) push back. 

That Lex did not confront any of these claims could be excused as playing the impartial interviewer, if not for the seriousness of our current situation. It would be similar to a German immigrant media personality in the US interviewing a popular political figure who justifies Hitler’s invasion of Poland after having already taken Czechoslovakia. Yet even in this current climate where stakes are this high, it would be wrong to censor such interviews that intentionally or unintentionally promote Russian talking points within the Rogan-verse. 

Regardless of your thoughts on wartime censorship, attempts at silencing such interviews make their message that much more of a forbidden fruit to those rightfully tired of the corporate establishment lies. And it does not help as well that the side most vocal about comparing Putin to Hitler has overplayed this card with Trump and any populist conservative policies he supported.

The Cultural Call to Action

Losing trust in the politically connected media class is no great tragedy on its own, but independent nodes like Joe Rogan are fertile ground for bad actors to influence by themselves or by proxy through combining the truth ignored by our media aristocracy with propagandistic lies. 

What makes this all the more tragic is that within the gradient of useful idiots to actual Russian agents, RFK reflects the desire present within many heterodox thinkers for a more cultured elite through his discussion of Albert Camus, existentialism, and stoicism on the aforementioned Fridman podcast. 

Compare this to Trump’s unapologetically low-brow Americana or Biden’s elevation of Tik Tok influencers with the cultural sophistication of infants, and it becomes clearer that what’s been missing from the equation on both sides is a level of sophistication which orients society towards higher goals. 

Our current elites’ creative bankruptcy should be a further wake up call for classically liberal thinkers aware of Russia’s goals to start engaging on a far greater level with those who downplay the need for Western intervention in this war. The high society currently supporting such interventions has done so in a tepid way in part due to their own connections with Russian oligarchs, as well as not wanting to get in trouble for acting decisively out of greedy self preservation.

In the dimwitted yet college educated culture offsetting Aristotle and Camus in favor of countless gender identities, Joe Rogan and other great cultural nodes will provide the alternative and it would be a big mistake for what’s left of our best intellectuals to ignore this in favor of our decaying university system. Should censorship increase further, pushback against our institutions as a whole will rise in turn, including against any support for Ukraine. This is why those with closer ties to these institutions should embrace the kind of dialogue which occurs in the Rogan-verse and ingratiate themselves to the many communities of heterodox thinkers instead of going on MSNBC to be praised for not accepting a vaccine debate with RFK. 

While social media will continue to play a divisive role, actually willing to engage goes a long way to destroying the illusion of Russia invading Ukraine being a partisan issue. It is certainly Russia’s wish for pro-Ukraine thinkers to distance themselves from Rogan and other such personalities since it leaves that much more room for influence through Russia’s proxies and useful idiots. Such engagement will also have the secondary effect of enlightening these very same intellectuals on issues their own circles have ignored, so everyone (except the Russians) benefits.

There should be an expectation that whatever demand is not being met by the establishment, outsiders will look to whoever’s likely to help them make it a reality. Being the cowards they are, most “respectable” people will ignore these outsiders, leaving the gap of opportunity wide open for bad actors serving foreign interests to exploit. But these mainstream elites are just as pliable to foreign influence through running in the same social circles which is arguably far more dangerous at the moment than catering to groups who are less powerful.

It would not be wrong to associate Putin’s Russia primarily with supporting this latter group of political outsiders, however, as was the job of their KGB predecessor back during the days of the USSR with left wing radicals.

Today, Russia's "divide and conquer" strategy encompasses both the right and the left extremes of the political spectrum who share in Russia’s contempt for Western liberalism. Economic challenges and cultural cohesion emerge as primary concerns for the former, exemplified by nationalistic populist parties such as France’s Comités Jeanne, Italy’s Lega Nord, Germany’s AFD, and Austria’s Freedom Party. But so have left wing pro-migration parties been embracing the Russian bear hug like the Syriza of Greece, the Spanish Podemos, and Germany’s Social Democrats (SPD).

In the case of the latter, former German Chancellor Gerhard Schröder remains a party member to this day despite being good friends with Putin and having business ties to Russian energy companies. 

But the SPD, though being one of the oldest Marx-influenced parties in the world, is considered “centrist” by European standards and very mainstream. This is where the greatest danger lies for the West when it comes to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, since it is not out of ideological compatibility as with the political fringe, but of moral cowardice and pliability through soft influence that the establishment parties have prolonged the Russian aggression and cost lives.

Among these cowards though, we should not be limited to only counting the politicians, but everyone who has a modicum of societal influence. Many of these are the same establishment people within Art, Fashion, and Entertainment, hated by the aforementioned fringes for being unprincipled sellouts dressed in today’s fashion of progressivism.

But people of this sort have been around forever and changing politics with the times only makes sense if you want to fit in and have money but lack a personality. This by itself is not a problem were they to just spend their time re-enacting “Eyes Wide Shut” every weekend, but unfortunately, the influence of these social elites does affect politics through friends with particular loyalties.

Such is the case with Dasha Zhukova, daughter of Russian oligarch Alexander Zhukov and ex wife of “Putin’s Wallet” Roman Abramovich and the mother of his two kids. Her social circle includes Oprah Winfrey, Condé Nast’s Anna Wintour and music magnate David Geffen among many of the beautiful people in the art and fashion scene, but also extends to the world of politics as well, specifically of the progressive pandering variety within the Western mainstream.

The title of “Putin’s Wallet” for her ex-husband (and still good friend) Abramovich should go for all the oligarchs including Dasha’s father as their money is actually Putin’s money.

This works through Putin’s circle receiving cushy government contracts paid for by the Russian people’s taxes, who are allowed to steal as much of it as they please in exchange for their loyalty to the regime. Money that was supposed to go towards the crumbling Russian infrastructure and healthcare instead ends up laundered by oligarchs through such channels as the art world, where Russian soft power gets directly in touch with the elites over champagne and caviar.

But since none of this money is theirs to begin with, Zukhova’s wealth from her oligarch ex husband as well as her oligarch father can only keep flowing if loyalty is maintained. And no doubt having access to the ears of policy makers within high society is a pretty great investment even if all it accomplishes is lowering commitment to the war effort.

Beyond Zukhova’s patronage, there is a rouges gallery of Russian oligarchs who are just as well connected. One such oligarch is Viktor Vekselberg with the world’s largest collection of Fabergé Eggs, who had loaned a special piece to the Victoria and Albert Museum (V&A) in London last year. Another is Petr Aven, head of Russia’s largest commercial bank right up until this war, and an avid art collector whose works were lent to such elite institutions as the Tate in London and the Museum of Modern Art in New York.

Both of these men are currently under sanctions for their connection to the Kremlin in light of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, while Vekselberg has the honor of being sanctioned for the 2014 invasion of Crimea as well.

This laundering of both money and reputation has been quite prevalent within the art world but is certainly not limited to it. As Casey Mitchel and David Szakonyi wrote for Foreign Policy back in 2020:

“Our analysis points to a glaring hole in the U.S.’s anti-kleptocracy efforts. Much as hedge fund managers, shell company operators, and realtors face no legal requirements to check their clients’ finances for potential signs of money laundering, so, too, are the institutions mentioned above—universities and think tanks, cultural institutes and foundations—perfectly free to receive funds with few if any questions asked. That is, unlike American banks, there are no due diligence requirements in the realm of charitable donations.”

The people operating these institutions are very much the same members of “The Cathedral” penned by monarchist and reactionary thinker Curtis Yarvin (also a Break The Rules regular known for his streams with Atlantic Council Fellow Vladislav Davidzon). According to Curtis, this classification means “the intellectual institutions at the center of modern society, just as the Church was the intellectual institution at the center of medieval society.”

Contrary to a dictatorship where power is centralized like Putin’s Russia (of which Curtis is not a fan), our political institutions in the US are flexible enough to allow the kind of change we are currently seeing in recent Supreme Court decisions such as restricting use of race in college admissions, or on the more progressive side we’ve got states like Oregon paving the way in psychedelic treatments for PTSD.

The problem lies in the cultural institutions spread throughout America and Western Europe which fawn over regressive leftism while at the same time being too impotent to excise the cancer of Russian influence within their own ranks.

The quality within the mainstream Western elite that makes them so indecisive at a time when decisiveness matters the most is what makes the authoritarian right and left appear more seductive in comparison to those on the extremes who have unwavering principles, regardless of how deluded those principles may be. Projecting their ideal onto a regime mistakenly seen as the last bulwark against Western decadence, both ends of the political horseshoe proudly accept Russian support by comparison.

There are no doubt principled individuals within the aforementioned Western establishment, but so is the higher social cost that comes with offending the wrong people, be it raging social justice advocates or friends whose foundation is propped up by Putin’s money. 

For readers within this elite (why are you not a Founding Member of this substack yet?) perhaps you are not powerful enough at the moment to influence others in parting with such financial rewards, but you still have the power to sway the opinion of those within the same circle. 

And for those in similar circumstances among left or right leaning groups, there is less problem with resolve but it is of the illiberal mindless variety, which as stated earlier, groups supporting Ukraine into categories with “I support the current thing” cultural baggage attached.

The way forward is to divide good ideas from bad within both fringes as well as the mainstream, and then commit to those good ideas through personal influence. While it will rub the masses of all sides the wrong way, the ones who are capable of critical thinking will be inspired by your resolve and lend their support.

Things of this nature are never easy, but if our existence is a human test, then these are the moments we will ultimately be judged by.

The Glass Russian Bear

Yevgeny Prigozhin’s canceled June 24th coup further cracked the “Strong as Bear” image of Russia held by the West, including that of a unified nationalistic loyalty compared to the Atlanticist powers divided by their culture war. To call this view a “Potemkin Village”, or a façade giving the false impression of a more positive situation, works on multiple levels. 

Originally, this refers to a fake portable village erected by Grigory Potemkin, Russian empress Catherine the Great’s former lover, with the intent of astonishing Catherine as she embarked on her journey to Crimea in 1787.

Similarly, the alleged might of Russia was not a view foisted on just the West, but on Putin himself, who has been isolated from reality for a while. But unlike Catherine the Great who sentenced Yemelyan Pugachev to be drawn and quartered for his insurrection, Putin has so far left Prigozhin alone. The only forces that resisted this coup were seven aircraft, all of which were shot down by the Wagner troops, yet the resulting deaths of thirteen Russian airmen carry no punishment as well.

The reason for such leniency can only be attributed to fear, which Putin demonstrated by fleeing Moscow on his plane instead of facing the Wagner convoy like the God Emperor some believed him to be.

This fear is likely to stem from Putin’s awareness that in order for such a coup to even be attempted, Prigozhin would need to have the aid of power hungry generals on the inside, and any wrong move means a possible violent overthrow. Neither is there any justification to trust that the Russian people would have Putin’s back, as Wagner’s incursion into cities like Rostov were met with selfies, flowers, and hugs by the locals as well as their government officials.

So having all illusions of unity broken, the only place for Putin to go is deeper into the braintrust of his old guard. And it is this loving relationship beset on all sides by would-be usurpers which highlights a big problem with top-down dictatorship like the one in Russia today.

The Nature of Dictatorship

Dictatorships can only function if the elite believe in the dictator’s power, and the moment this belief fades, the house of cards comes tumbling down. Rightfully paranoid of being overthrown, the dictator surrounds himself with more loyalty instead of competence, as had exceedingly been the case with Putin throughout the years.

If before this coup, Putin could give newcomers like his former chef Prigozhin a chance to concentrate on the objective problems within the Russian military, he’s now exclusively bound to the old guard as the last time any level of autonomy was handed over, his worst fear came true.

So there is no turning back from receding further into isolation where all but the most tested toadies are seen as potential threats. This is why Putin created his own “Praetorian Guard'' known as the Rosgvardyia headed up by his former mob connected bodyguard Viktor Zolotov. 

But just like with the Wagner Battalion pre-backstab, Putin has continued to siphon arms and technology from the rest of the Russian military to prop up this personal shield. He is certainly not wrong for being paranoid that those who backed Prigozhin want him gone, so the justification for such a shield exists. But securing your own defense through pissing off the military further means the chances of a future coup being successful exponentially increase as well.

There is no winning with such a system of top-down rule. For all the people attributing cracks in the Russian Bear to Putin’s unique disposition, how could it be otherwise if the system allows for such absolute power in the first place? 

A better leader than Putin would have had the same problems of being tied up with pleasing those most loyal to him while demoting doom-sayers and getting rid of whoever’s seen to be a threat. 

Stalin took the latter to its extremes with his mass purges and fear-based system of rule, while Nikita Khrushchev and those after him presided over a system which would eventually fall under the weight of its centralized chain of command. But that system at least had two competing power structures (post Stalin) of the KGB and Communist Party keeping each other in check, thus deteriorating slower than the paranoid fascism at work in Russia at the moment. 

Regarding military might, this unchecked power leads to such levels of corruption that officials like Zolotov are given tanks in return for doing nothing. Likewise, the tanks themselves are in the same condition as those used during the Ukraine war due to corruption reaching down all the way to the manufacturing level with such issues as “fuel embezzlement”. 

Lessons for the West

Let Russia be our canary in the fascist coal mine, especially for those who see such absolute power as the only way out of the problems going on in the West. This should by no means downplay the migrant riots we are currently seeing erupt in Western Europe or absurd anti First Amendment pronoun laws passed by ghouls in Michigan. 

But at least with the US, there have been more positive signs of a pushback such as the Supreme Court ruling against tax funded college discrimination. None of these required a dictator but instead relied on the system which those on the far left and far right want to dismantle.

For both the leftist tankies and right wing ultra trads, Putin's Russia mirrored their desires of the ideal Potemkin Village while inflaming hatred for the full package of the West they grew up in and benefited from. Even if some US politicians are not too dissimilar from the toadies jumping around Putin, these unimpressive people still have to contend with checks and balances that are entirely absent from the Russian system.

This comes in the form of the aforementioned Supreme Court, voting with your feet to live in more compatible states, and being a nation of lawyers that can still achieve justice in the face of tyranny. Sure, nothing is ever static, so the generations to come may be less inclined to preserve our system, but this is what needs to be worked on through the development of a responsible elite, rather than an all powerful dictator, who like Putin, will take the country down with him before relinquishing any of that power.
